EXECUTIVE CHANGES: Carnival promotes COO & UK chief Weinstein to CEO

Tue, 26th Apr 2022 15:51

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of London-listed company director and manager changes announced on Tuesday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

----------

Carnival PLC - Miami-based cruise line operator - Promotes Chief Operations Officer Josh Weinstein to chief executive officer, effective from August 1. Current CEO Arnold Donald moves to vice chair, after nine years as CEO. Weinstein has worked for Carnival for 20 years. In his current role, held for the past two years, he also oversees Carnival UK, the operating company for P&O Cruises and Cunard.

----------

MySale Group PLC - online retailer in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore - Executive Chair Carl Jackson moves to non-executive chair. Jackson, who was CEO from 2009 until last year, temporarily had become executive chair upon the appointment of Kalman Polak as CEO back in October, to allow for a transition.

----------

Toople PLC - Letchworth Garden City, England-based telecom services - Paul White resigns as chief financial officer immediately "to pursue other business interests". Has recruited an unnamed interim CFO until a permanent successor is found. Also hires Greg Bryce as chief operating officer, joining the board after completing regulatory procedures. Bryce has served in a range of sales roles, including at media firm Daily Mail & General Trust and at data services firm Powered by PIE.

----------

MP Evans Group PLC - producer of sustainable Indonesian palm oil - Hires Luke Shaw as new CFO, starting in July. Shaw recently held a senior finance position at FTSE 250-listed precision instrumentation and controls supplier Spectris PLC. At MP Evans, Shaw replaces Matthew Coulson, who was promoted to CEO starting back in January.

----------

MGC Pharmaceuticals Ltd - Perth, Australia-based medicinal cannabis - Hires Angela-Marie Graham to be London-based CFO. Says Graham has 25 years of accountancy experience, including in the biopharmaceutical sector. Graham replaces Daniel Kendall, who left earlier this month, leaving CEO Roby Zomer to cover CFO reponsibilities.

----------

United Oil & Gas PLC - London-based oil and gas company with projects in Egypt, Italy and the UK - David Quirke will step down as CFO and from the board at a date to be agreed. United Oil says the search for a replacement is "well advanced".

----------

Yourgene Health PLC - Manchester-based molecular diagnostics - Adam Reynolds will step down as chair at the next annual general meeting, having served in the role for five years. Senior Independent Director John Brown will replace him as chair. Yourgene holds its AGM in September.
