Earthport names Simon Adamiyatt its new CFO

Bank payment services group Earthport said on Thursday that it has appointed Simon Adamiyatt as its new chief financial officer designate.Adamiyatt, who brings 25 years of experience as an investment banker to the company, previously held roles at Lehman Brothers, UBS and Sagent Advisors.The group expects the new CFO to take on the role immediately, but his appointment is still subject to regulatory approvals.Chief executive Hank Uberoi said: "Simon's exceptional understanding of the financial services industry, coupled with deep knowledge of financial management at the most senior levels and his impressive track record in executing complex financial controls will take Earthport to the next level of growth."In the last nine months, Earthport hired Daniel Marovitz as president of Europe, Mia Shernoff as global head of marketing, and Sajeev Viswanathan as president of global strategy.Shares in Earthport rose 3.49% to 44.5p on Thursday at 14:15.
