DP Poland to hire ex-Domino's CEO as non-executive chair in early 2023

Fri, 30th Dec 2022 09:59

(Alliance News) - DP Poland PLC on Friday said it has hired former chief executive officer of Domino's Pizza Group PLC, David Wild, to be its non-executive chair from early 2023.

The Birmingham, England-based operator of Domino's pizza stores and restaurants across Poland and Croatia said Wild will be appointed to the board in early 2023 to succeed Nick Donaldson as chair, subject to regulatory due diligence.

It said Wild will bring extensive consumer sector experience to the board, serving as Domino's CEO from 2014 to 2020 and Halfords PLC CEO previously. Wild is a chemistry graduate from the University of Oxford.

Donaldson will stand down from the board on Saturday after nine years on the board, as announced in June. Non-Executive Director Przemyslaw Glebocki will be appointed interim chair in between Donaldson's departure and Wild's formal appointment.

"I'm delighted that David will be taking over from me, building on the senior Domino's experience in the company...Combined with David's experience working in Poland, I couldn't imagine a better placed successor. DP Poland has been transformed and matured significantly during my tenure and is now ideally placed to prosper, with a clear strategy and first-class leadership team," said Donaldson.

Wild added: "I am delighted to have the opportunity to play a role in driving the future success of the business, blending my prior experiences in Domino's and Poland to drive value for all stakeholders."

Shares in DP Poland were up 0.7% to 8.41 pence each in London on Friday morning.
