Fri, 28th Feb 2020 15:38

(Alliance News) - Avon Rubber PLC on Friday said its Avon Protection unit has received a USD21 million US Department of Defence order under the M69 Joint Service Aircrew Mask for strategic aircraft framework contract.

Avon Protection is the company's personal protection systems manufacturing business.

Respiratory and milking equipment firm said deliveries under this order will commence in its current financial year, ending September 30, and will contribute to its Military revenues for the year.

In January Avon Rubber had said it was confident of achieving expectations for financial 2020 following continued strong order intake in both business units, Avon Protection and Milkrite Interpuls.

Avon Rubber shares were trading 0.9% lower in London at 2,655.00 pence each on Friday afternoon.
