DIRECTOR DEALINGS SUMMARY: Balfour Beatty Chairman Buys Shares

LONDON (Alliance News) - The following is a summary of director dealings reported in London on Wednesday.

Balfour Beatty said Chairman Philip Aiken bought 5,000 shares at a price of 262 pence per share. Following this transaction, Aiken holds 10,000 shares.

Earlier this month, the construction and support services group scrapped its interim dividend as it posted a substantially wider pretax loss for the first half of 2015 thanks to writedowns of onerous contracts in its UK construction arm. The company said its pretax loss for the six months to the end of June was GBP150 million, sharply wider than the GBP58 million loss it posted a year earlier. As a result of the drop in profit, the company said it won't pay an interim dividend, having paid 5.6 pence per share a year earlier.

The stock closed down 0.7% at 260.93p Wednesday.

Sage Group said Chief Executive Officer Stephen Kelly bought 20,000 shares at a price of 496.50 pence per share. His total shareholding was undisclosed. Shares in the software company closed down 1.7% at 495.00p Wednesday.

Boxhill Technologies said Chairman Timothy Razzell sold 4 million shares at a price of 0.36875 pence per share August 14. Following this transaction, Razzall now holds 77 million shares, equivalent to 5.29% of issued shares. Shares in the lottery operator closed up 3.1% at 0.330p Wednesday.

Phaunos Timber Fund said Non-Executive Independent Director William Weeks Vanderfelt bought 550,000 shares at a price of USD0.3425 per share Tuesday. Following this transaction, Vanderfelt holds 7.4 million shares, which represents 1.3% stake in the firm. Shares closed up 3.0% at USD0.345 Wednesday.

Henderson Global Trust said Non-Executive Director Victoria Hastings bought 4,226 shares at a price of 352.87 pence per share Tuesday. Following this transaction, Hastings holds 7,226 shares, which represents 0.15% stake in the trust. The stock closed 0.6% lower at 348.22p Wednesday.

Utilitywise said Non-Executive Director Paul Hailes bought 11,667 shares at a price of 158.275 pence per share Tuesday. Pub operator Greene King said Chief Financial Officer Kirk Davis bought 4,000 shares at a price of 821 pence per share on Monday which is his only holding. Davis was appointed as CFO in October 2014 and was previously finance director at JD Wetherspoon. The stock closed at 811.88p, down 1.5% Wednesday.

Guitar seller Gear4music said Chief Commercial Officer Gareth Bevan bought 13,920 shares at a price of 142.5 pence per share Tuesday. Following this transaction, Bevan's beneficial holding now stands at 134,382 shares, which represents 0.7% of the issued share capital of the music instrument retailer. Gear4music was admitted to AIM in June, raising GBP9.0 million after expenses in its initial public offering of 7.2 million shares at 139 pence each. Shares in the retailer closed up 0.4% at 141.00p Wednesday.
