K3 Business Technology Names Kestrel's Oliver Scott As Director

Mon, 17th Feb 2020 14:27

(Alliance News) - K3 Business Technology Group PLC said Monday it has appointed Oliver Scott as a non-executive director with immediate effect.

The software, cloud solution and managed services company said Scott is a partner of Kestrel Partners LLP, a independent investment manager which he co-founded in 2009.

Prior to this, he spent 20 years advising smaller quoted and unquoted companies, latterly as a director of KBC Peel Hunt Corporate Finance.

He is currently a non-executive director of IDOX PLC and ULS Technology PLC, and was previously a non-executive director of IQGeo Group PLC and KBC Advanced Technology PLC.

Adalsteinn Valdimarsson, chief executive officer, said: "Oliver brings a wealth of experience to the board and, in his role at Kestrel, has been one of K3's longest standing and largest shareholders."

"He brings significant public markets and technology investment knowledge and we look forward to working with him," Valdimarsson said.

At the beginning of February, K3 had said its Chair Stuart Darling intends to step down from the board at the company's next annual general meeting in May. The company appointed Non-Executive Director Jonathan Manley as interim chair, pending appointment of a new chair.

K3 shares were untraded in London at 138.00 pence each on Monday.
