LONDON (Alliance News) - Music and audio products company Focusrite PLC on Thursday said it has upgraded and launched its second generation Scarlett USB audio interface range.
The new and upgraded Scarlett range is targeted at hobbyist recording musicians, semi-professional producers and audio engineers, Focusrite said, and is "packed full of improvements".
Focusrite said Scarlett delivers its fastest USB performance yet, with very low roundtrip latency measurements, as well as improvements to product design and imbedded technology and software.
"The Scarlett range is currently our most successful product range and has firmly established itself as the world market leader. Today we are launching the next generation of Scarlett, which is an even better product for recording musicians as it is faster and easier to use," Chief Executive Dave Froker said in a statement.
"Initial consumer and sales channel feedback has been extremely positive and we are confident that the second generation Scarletts will cement our place as the provider of the world's number one interface range for years to come," he added.
Shares in Focusrite were untraded on Thursday morning, last traded at 154.00 pence.
