TechMARK movers: Alterian directors sell shares

Mon, 30th Nov 2009 14:45

Four directors sold shares in marketing software company Alterian. David Eldridge, David Cutler, Michael Talbot and Tim McCarthy are all executive directors and they sold shares at 182p each. Chief executive Eldridge sold 270,000 shares and raised £491,400. He retains a 1.82% stake in Alterian. Chief technical officer Talbot and research director McCarthy each sold 270,000 shares, which were a combination of 114,500 shares taken up via options and existing shares. They raised the same amount as Eldridge and retain 1.98% and 1.43% of Alterian, respectively. Finance director Cutler sold all 234,800 shares he acquired through options and raised £427,336. He is the biggest shareholder among the directors with a 2.56% stake. Alterian's interim revenues increased from £10.3m to £14.4m. The loss fell from £2.17m to £236,000 in the six months to September 2009. Net cash is £7.34m. Shares in software provider Triad Group fell after it announced that it made a loss in the six months to September 2009. Triad moved from a £9,000 profit to a £405,000 loss in the first half of its financial year. Costs have been cut but not sharply enough to offset the decline in revenues from £16.6m to £14.1m. Net debt was £1.27m at the end of September 2009. There have been delays in procurement decisions and cuts in IT spending by existing clients. Utilisation levels have fallen. Triad continues to invest in its Zubed location intelligence software - £200,000 was capitalised in the period. Lloyds, Mothercare and American Express have signed contracts to buy Zubed software.
