LONDON (Alliance News) - Surgical Innovations Group PLC said a new production facility will be developed for it at the Thorpe Park business park in Leeds.
The company which designs and develops devices for minimally invasive surgery said that the new 58,000 square foot site, which will include a 12,000 square foot clinical training centre, will support research, development and production capabilities, and expects it to increase operational efficiencies.
Surgical Innovations said that the building project is being funded through a regional growth fund grant of GBP5.1 million, and also by a commercial mortgage.
It said that it will be working with site developers, Scarborough Development Group on the site, and expects the development of the site to be completed in the summer of 2015.
Shares in the company were down 0.1% Thursday morning, trading at 7.74 pence per share.
