Turkish Airlines says it is strengthening ties with Rolls-Royce, Airbus

ISTANBUL, April 29 (Reuters) - Turkish Airlines said on Monday Rolls-Royce was exploring the potential establishment in Turkey of maintenance, repair and overhaul capabilities and further supply chain sourcing, in line with their partnership.

The airline issued the statement at an event to unveil a strategic programme that it created along with Airbus and aerospace companies in Turkey, to develop the Turkish aerospace industry. (Reporting by Ceyda Caglayan and Can Sezer; Writing by Daren Butler; Editing by Jonathan Spicer)

John Wood Group PLC - Aberdeen, Scotland-based engineering and consulting - Hires Arvind Balan as its new chief financial officer, starting April 15 next year. Before that, he worked for oil major Shell PLC for 14 years in the UK, Singapore and China.
