HOUSTON, Jan 22 (Reuters) - Sulfur recovery unit No. 7 atRoyal Dutch Shell Plc's 327,000 barrel per dayjoint-venture refinery in Deer Park, Texas, was shut onWednesday afternoon following a fire, according to sourcesfamiliar with operations at the refinery.
Shell spokeswoman Destin Singleton said a fire wasextinguished in one of its units at the refinery, which is ajoint venture between Shell and Petroleos Mexicanos, Mexico'snational oil company.
Singleton also said the unit would be brought back intooperation when it was appropriate to do so. She declined toidentify the unit. (Reporting by Erwin Seba. Editing by Andre Grenon)
