LONDON (Alliance News) - PureTech Health PLC said Friday that its operating company Akili Interactive Labs Inc has raised USD30.5 million in new equity investments, which it will use to support further development of its late-stage products and build up for a potential US launch in 2017.
Akili develops mobile software-based treatments and monitors, designed to function as action video games, for various conditions including attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
PureTech invested USD22.0 million in the financing, and expects to have a 63% stake in Akili as a result of this investment. Other investors included JAZZ Venture Partners and Canepa Advanced Healthcare Fund.
Shares in PureTech were up 1.4% at 150.00 pence Friday morning.
