AIM WINNERS & LOSERS: Proteome Sciences rises on GBP500,000 contract

Fri, 26th Apr 2024 10:40

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers on AIM in London on Friday.

----------

AIM - WINNERS

----------

Proteome Sciences PLC, up 31% at 4.59 pence, 12-month range 2.65p-8.79p. The protein-focused drug development services provider says it has secured a contract win from an unnamed US biopharmaceutical company, using the its mass spectrometry services for the analysis of samples for an on-going clinical trial. The contract is valued at over GBP500,000. Chief Commercial Officer Richard Dennis says: "In this contract the client selected our targeted assay workflows with GCLP compliance as a quality standard specifically to monitor the performance of their investigational drug in their clinical trial. We expect the increased levels of interest in our services activities to continue through 2024 and look forward to further clinical trial projects."

----------

AIM - LOSERS

----------

Aukett Swanke Group PLC, down 13% at 1.35p, 12-month range 0.71p-2.30p. The architectural and interior design services provider notes a delay in receipt of revenue. It explains that "while the level of interest, confirmed contracts and new contract wins remains good, the start dates for a number of larger confirmed contracts, which are outside the group's control, have been delayed a little more than anticipated." Looking ahead, Aukett said the outlook for the rest of the financial year "looks brighter", with an expectation that the majority of the expected loss in the first half will be recovered before the financial year end in September.
