Perpetual names former HMV chief executive as non-exec director

(ShareCast News) - Alan Giles has been appointed as non-executive director of Perpetual Income and Growth Investment Trust, the investment group said on Friday.Giles, who will join the FTSE 250 group on 6 November and will serve on its audit and management engagement committees, is the former chairman of Fat Face Group and chief executive of HMV Group and the current non-executive director of Rentokil Initial."Alan brings with him extensive commercial and retail sector experience which will broaden the board's overall expertise," said group chairman Bill Alexander."I welcome him to the Board and look forward to working with him."Perpetual shares were down 0.46% to 413.10p at 1022 GMT on Friday.
