Hogg Robinson Chooses Debenhams Chairman Northridge To Lead Company

Thu, 17th Dec 2015 08:08

LONDON (Alliance News) - International corporate services firm Hogg Robinson Group PLC Thursday said it has appointed current Debenhams PLC Chairman Nigel Northridge as its new chairman.

Northridge is the currently chairman of retailer Debenhams and also a senior independent director of retail services company Inchape PLC.

Initially, Hogg Robinson has appointed Northridge as a non-executive director, but he will be appointed chairman of the company at the start of 2016 after current Chairman John Coombe leaves the company.

"I am delighted that the Board has chosen to appoint as my successor someone with the extensive and relevant experience of Nigel Northridge," said Coombe.

Previously, Northridge has been a non-executive director of other London-listed stocks Aggreko PLC, Thomas Cook Group PLC, Aer Lingus Group PLC and Paddy Power PLC.

Debenhams noted that Hogg had appointed Northridge as a non-executive but made no further comment.

Shares in Hogg Robinson were up 0.4% at 70.25 pence Thursday morning, shortly after market open.
