Interactive gaming firm Netplay narrowed full year pre-tax losses while revenue for the year increased 118% as demand for live gaming increased.The former mobile content business posted a pre-tax loss of £1m for the year ended 31 December from a loss of £4.4m the previous year. Revenue rose to £19.8m from £9.1m.Netplay also reported positive EBITDA of £2.4m from a loss of £1.7m in 2007.SuperCasino.com saw growth of over 80% with annual gross bets increasing to £243m from £133m in 2007.Commenting on the group's performance chairman Clive Jones said, "The belief that in time consumers would firstly demand a "live" gaming experience on their PCs and secondly would want interaction through their mobile phone is beginning to prove correct." "We predict this demand will continue to grow as internet connectivity speeds become faster," Jones added.
