Nuformix PLC - London-based pharmaceutical development firm focused on repurposing known drugs for novel uses - Hires Anne Brindley as chief executive officer, effective immediately. Brindley was CEO of Advent Pharmaceuticals Pty Ltd, a Melbourne-based research and development company focused on generic inhaled products. After leading an asset sale to the Australian arm of Aurobindo Pharma USA Inc, Brindley became CEO of that subsidiary, AuroScience Pty Ltd.

Sterling Energy PLC - exploration asset in Somaliland - Hires Tony Hawkins as CEO, replacing David Marshall. Sterling Energy says Marshall has stepped down "by mutual consent", effective immediately. Non-Executive Chair Michael Kroupeev will temporarily be executive chair during the handover. Hawkins was CEO of Columbus Energy Resources PLC, an AIM-listed oil & gas company operating in Trinidad and Suriname. Columbus was bought by Bahamas Petroleum Co PLC in August. Hawkins also is a non-executive director of Lekoil Ltd. Prior to Columbus, Hawkins had been general counsel & head of Commercial at Sterling Energy from 2013 to 2017.

InterContinental Hotels Group PLC - Buckinghamshire-based operator of Holiday Inn and Crowne Plaza hotel chains, among other brands - Hires Duriya Farooqui as independent non-executive director, effective immediately. Farooqui currently is an independent director of Intercontinental Exchange Inc, the owner of the New York Stock Exchange. As an executive, she was president of Supply Chain Innovation at paper company Georgia-Pacific.

Capita PLC - London-based consulting and outsourcing - Hires David Lowden as non-executive director, effective from January 1. Lowden will become senior non-executive director on March 1, when Gillian Sheldon retires after more than eight years on the board. Lowden currently is chair of recruitment firm PageGroup PLC and is a non-executive director at construction company Morgan Sindall PLC.

Personal Group Holdings PLC - Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire-based employee services - Hires Martin Bennett as non-executive director, starting January 1. Bennett was UK CEO for home emergencies company Homeserve PLC and chief financial officer prior to that.

Gresham House Renewable Energy VCT 2 PLC - renewable energy projects in UK - Hires Andrew Donovan as independent non-executive director, effective from Monday. Company notes that Donovan is a corporate financier with more than 24 years experience in capital raising in the renewable energy and utilities sectors.

Capital Gearing Trust PLC - aims for capital growth in absolute terms rather than relative to a stock market index - Hires Wendy Colquhoun as non-executive director from January 5. Colquhoun is an advisor to Capital Gearing Trust and a partner at law firm CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang LLP. She also is a non-executive director of Henderson Opportunities Trust PLC and of Schroder UK Mid Cap Fund PLC.
