(Sharecast News) - Indonesia-focussed palm oil company M. P. Evans Group reported a 21% improvement in its total crop of fresh fruit bunches for 2019 on Thursday, to one million tonnes.
The AIM-traded firm said of that, its own crop grew by 16% to 663,300 tonnes, and scheme smallholder crops were up 15% at 172,100 tonnes.
Its independent smallholder crops, meanwhile, surged 56% to total 166,100 for the year ended 31 December.
Looking at its production, the company said it made 20% more crude palm oil during the year for a total of 231,900 tonnes, while palm kernel production was 22% higher at 53,000 tonnes.
M.P. Evans said its production figures included production from its crop, sold to third-party mills.
At 1110 GMT, shares in M.P. Evans were up 0.07% at 711.52p.
