Leslie Buckley, a non-executive director at Aer Lingus, has bought €50,700 worth of shares in the Irish airline.Buckley, who has been appointed as a non-exec in May, purchased 65,000 shares at a price of € 0.78 each. Figures revealed last week that a 10% increase in short haul passengers at Aer Lingus during August offset a slump in long haul numbers. The carrier flew 1.09m people last month, up 7.7% on the same time last year, while the load factor, which measures how well planes are filled, rose 2.4% to 83%. The airline's shares have struggled recently.
