Jet2 PLC - Yeadon, England-based airline and package holiday operator - At annual general meeting being held on Thursday, notes that customers are booking "significantly closer" to departure for the summer season due to travel rules uncertainty. However, it is optimistic that summer 2022 will be a "considerable improvement" on 2021 and 2020. Further, says: "Despite the limited booking visibility, pleasingly, we have generated positive financial contribution from the flying to date, supported by our quick to market, flexible operating model."
Says that slower momentum for winter 2021/2022 bookings has remained, so its pricing will need to remain "enticing". Its capacity for the winter season remains under rolling review.
"We are confident that once normality returns, our Customers will be determined to enjoy the wonderful experience of a well-deserved Jet2 holiday and that Jet2.com and Jet2holidays will continue to have a thriving future, taking millions of UK holidaymakers annually, to the Mediterranean, the Canary Islands and to European Leisure Cities," says Executive Chair Philip Meeson.
