Thu, 05th Sep 2013 12:38

LONDON (Alliance News) - JP Morgan American Investment Trust PLC Thursday said it will apply to issue up to 1.7 million new shares.

It expects to place the shares on September 17 at a price it will announce that morning.

The trust said the shares won't qualify for the 5 pence interim dividend for the six months ended 30 June 2013, which is payable October 9.

The placing will be undertaken by company broker Canaccord Genuity Limited.

JPMorgan American Investment Trust shares were Thursday trading at 1,123 pence per share, up 7 pence or 0.6%.
