LONDON (Alliance News) - Chemicals firm Itaconix PLC said Friday it appointed Non-Executive Director Jim Barber as its new chair from the start of December.
Barber - non-executive since 2016 - will replace Executive Chairman Kevin Matthews who announced his intention to stand down in July. Barber will, however, be appointed non-executive chair.
"Kevin's decisiveness and experience as a specialty chemicals executive has resulted in a business well positioned with opportunities for growth in sustainable polymers," Itaconix Chief Executive Officer John Shaw said. "His efforts and dedication to serving the needs of our customers, employees, and shareholders are greatly appreciated."
Shares in Itaconix were 2.7% lower at 1.80 pence on Friday.
