LONDON (Alliance News) - Property regeneration company Harworth Group PLC on Monday said it has acquired a 112-acre site in Doncaster for GBP8.5 million.
The site, near Doncaster town centre, comprises 77 acres of vacant land and nearly 200,000 square feet of industrial space. Harworth said the site was acquired out of receivership and has planning permission in place for 800 new homes, along with the industrial space and other uses.
"This is an exciting acquisition for Harworth, adding to our already significant landbank in Doncaster. It is well connected close to the town centre and sits adjacent to the River Don, underpinning its potential as a high-quality, mixed-use development site," said Owen Michaelson, Harworth's chief executive.
Shares in Harworth were up 4.8% to 12.84 pence on Monday.
