EXECUTIVE CHANGES: Mode Global promotes former Alipay exec to CEO

Thu, 03rd Mar 2022 15:02

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of London-listed company director and manager changes announced on Thursday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

----------

Mode Global Holdings PLC - bitcoin banking app based in London - Promotes Rita Liu to chief executive officer, effective immediately. Liu replaces Ryan Moore, who had resigned immediately in mid-January, with no reason provided for his departure. Liu joined Mode in March 2020 as chief commercial officer, having been UK CEO for payments app Alipay, which is part of Ant Financial, the fintech arm of Alibaba Group Holding Ltd.

----------

MyHealthChecked PLC - Cardiff-based healthcare company focused on at-home health and wellness tests - Chief Financial & Operations Officer Gareth Davies will leave the company on April 7 "to pursue other opportunities", having joined only in June last year. Starts search for replacement.

----------

dotdigital Group PLC - London-based online marketing - Non-Executive Chair Mike O'Leary will step down once a successor is found due to health issues. A search process has begun. Also on Tuesday, dotdigital warned on slowing growth as it reported improved half-year results. Epwin Group PLC, a maker of building projects, also said O'Leary will be retiring from its board as a non-executive director.

----------

Hansard Global PLC - Isle of Man-based long-term savings provider - Promotes Independent Director Philip Kay to chair, succeeding Graeme Easton, who will remain on the board as an independent director. Kay is a former investment bank who worked for Credit Suisse First Boston. Hansard Global also reports results for the six months that ended December 31, its financial first half. IFRS pretax profit declines to GBP1.9 million from GBP2.9 million a year before, due to a GBP1.0 million provision against funds in liquidation. However, assets under administration edge up to GBP1.23 billion from GBP1.22 billion on June 30 last year. Declares 1.8 pence interim dividend, unchanged on year before.
