EXECUTIVE CHANGES: Block Energy investor targets chair; Cobra taps CEO

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of London-listed company director and manager changes announced on Monday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

Block Energy PLC - oil and gas production and development in Georgia - Receives letter from 5.0% shareholder Forest Nominees requisitioning a general meeting to vote on removing Chair Philip Dimmock from the board and replacing him as chair with Chuck Valceschini, a current non-executive director. In its letter, Forest doesn't provide a reason for the change. Block Energy says it will comply with its obligations to call the meeting and will make further announcements. Separately, Block says Chris Brown has resigned as an independent non-executive director but will serve his notice period to October 2.

Cobra Resources PLC - Wudinna gold project in South Australia - Hires Rupert Verco as chief executive officer, starting Monday next week. Verco is a geologist who has been technical mining specialist at Xenco Mining Services in Australia since 2018. Prior to Xenco, Verco was mine manager for Tarcoola Gold and surface mining supervisor at the Challenger gold mine, both in South Australia.

IG Design Group PLC - Milton Keynes, Bedfordshire-based consumer gift packaging - Hires Stewart Gilliland as non-executive chair designate and Clare Askem as non-executive director, both effective immediately. Gilliland will replace John Charlton at the annual general meeting in September. He currently is chair of cider maker C&C Group PLC and a non-executive director of supermarket chain Tesco PLC and of wine maker Chapel Down Group PLC. Askem was managing director of Habitat at J Sainsbury PLC. She currently is a non-executive director of Portmeirion Group PLC, Studio Retail Group PLC and Law Debenture Corp PLC.

ULS Technology PLC - Thame, Oxfordshire-based online platforms for conveyancing and financial intermediary markets, including DigitalMove - Hires Simon McCulloch as chief commercial & growth officer and Ed Mardell as chief technology officer. ULS says McCulloch has over the past year led the global wealth & insurance digital channel at lender HSBC Holdings PLC, prior to which we worked at ComparetheMarket.com. Mardell has worked on property portals as CTO for publishers Daily Mail & General Trust PLC and Guardian Media Group.

Rosslyn Data Technologies PLC - London-based cloud enterprise data analytics platform - Founder & Chief Information Officer Hugh Cox retires from the board immediately but will remain a company employee, focused on operations and supporting clients. In April, Roger Bullen departed as CEO, replaced by Paul Watts, who had been chief customer officer. Chief Financial Officer Ash Mehta will leave at the end of August.

BB Healthcare Trust PLC - healthcare-focused investor - Hires Kate Bolsover as non-executive director, effective immediately. Bolsover is chair of Fidelity Asian Values PLC, senior independent director of Invesco Bond Income Plus Ltd, and non-executive director of TR Property Investment Trust PLC. She is a non-executive director of fund manager of Baillie Gifford & Co Ltd. As an executive, she was director of Corporate Communications at JP Morgan Cazenove.
