TRADING UPDATES: BlueRock hit by extreme weather; Harbour drills well

Mon, 11th Jul 2022 19:15

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of updates by London-listed companies, issued on Monday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

----------

BlueRock Diamonds PLC - diamond producer focused on South Africa - Produces 139,531 tonnes during the second quarter of 2022, up 4% from 134,510 tonnes produced the previous year. Produces 2,699 carats, down 47% from 5,106 the previous year. Sells at an average price per carat of USD575.66, up 35% from USD427.78 a year prior. Company says extreme weather conditions resulted in a "disappointing quarter". Chair Mike Houston says: "During the period, the company had limited access to fresh kimberlite resulting in the feed to the plant being a lower grade plus having a higher percent of fines/clay material, which are more susceptible to wet conditions and impacted negatively on throughput tonnage." Adds that weather conditions have improved over the past month and that the market has remained "buoyant" for non-Russian rough diamonds.

----------

Alphawave IP Group PLC - London-based connectivity technology provider - Sutardja Family LLC, a company associated with Executive Director Sehat Sutardja, buys 52,480 shares at GBP1.28 each on Friday. The Sutardja Family now holds 13% of the company's issued share capital.

----------

Randall & Quilter Investment Holdings Ltd - Bermuda-based specialty non-life insurance company - Raises USD5.5 million in an open offer through the issue 4.4 million shares. This takes the total proceeds of the company's fundraise to USD129.5 million. Chair William Spiegel says: "We are pleased to confirm the completion of our fundraise, with the strong level of investor appetite demonstrated by the significant upsizing of this to circa USD129.5 million in total. This new capital means R&Q enters the second half of the year with the balance sheet strength needed to underpin the growth we are seeing in Program Management and our well-established position as a leading global provider of Legacy Insurance solutions."

----------

Seplat Energy PLC - Lagos-based energy company focused on Nigeria - Notes court action from the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd in relation to the acquisition of Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited. NNPC have requested the State High Court to declare that a dispute occurred between itself and MPNU in relation to the interpretation of pre-emption rights under their joint operating agreement. Says neither Seplat Energy nor Seplat Energy Offshore Ltd is a party in the suit. Adds it cannot provide further comment.

----------

SLF Realisation Fund Ltd - realising all remaining assets in portfolio of ordinary share class and 2016 C share class - Announces it will return 1 pence per share to its ordinary shareholders, around GBP3.6 million based on current numbers in issue, and 5 pence per share to its C shareholders, around GBP6.9 million. The distributions will be done by way of an issue of redeemable B shares and D shares to existing shareholders.

----------

Harbour Energy PLC - independent oil and gas company - Completes drilling of Timpan-1 exploration well, offshore Indonesia. Well drilled to a total vertical depth of 13,818 feet subsea and encountered 390 foot gas column. The well flowed on test at 27 million standard cubic feet per day of gas and 1,884 barrels of oil per day of associated 58 degrees API condensate through a 56/64 inch choke. President Director Gary Selbie says: "We are encouraged by the result of this play-opening exploration well and potentially building on our successful operating history in Indonesia. We look forward to working with our partners and the Government of Indonesia to determine the potential for commercialisation of this important discovery."

----------

EnSilica PLC - Oxfordshire, England-based semiconductor designer and supplier with design centres in India and Brazil - Hires an application specific integrated circuits implementation team and buys related non-core assets from Blu Wireless Technologies Ltd. Also acquires related design flow intellectual property used by Blu Wireless for a non-material cash payment. Additionally, EnSilica will partner with Blu Wireless to support the deployment of a communication processor IP solution called Hydra from Blu Wireless.

----------

Cellular Goods PLC - London-based consumer products with lab-made cannabinoids - Launches mini-size formats for its Rejuvenating Cannabinoid Face Serum and its Calming Cannabinoid After Shaving Moisturiser. Says they are design to provide an entry-level price point to encourage more consumers to trial the products or buy them as gifts.
