Bristol-Myers Squibb Co - New York-based pharmaceutical company - Receives approval in Japan for Breyanzi as a CD19-targeting chimeric antigen receptor cell therapy in the second-line treatment of relapsed or refractory large B-cell lymphoma. The approval is based on the results of clinical trials in patients with relapsed or refractory aggressive B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma after first-line therapy.

Gilead Sciences Inc - Foster City, California-based biopharmaceutical company - Says its subsidiary Kite will acquire Tmunity Therapeutics, a clinical-stage private biotechnology company focused on CAR-T therapies and technologies. Gilead says the acquisition complements Kite's existing in-house cell therapy research capabilities by adding additional pipeline assets, platform capabilities, research and a licensing agreement with the University of Pennsylvania. As part of the acquisition, Kite will assume responsibility for continuing the research and development collaboration between Tmunity and the University of Pennsylvania.

Siltronic AG - Munich-based wafer maker for the semiconductor industry - Appoints Michael Heckmeier as the firm's future chief executive officer, succeeding Christoph von Plotho who has led the company since 2010. Heckmeier will take up the role on July 1, 2023 "at the latest" and is appointed for an initial three year period.

Daimler Truck Holding AG - Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Germany-based commercial vehicle manufacturer - Declares the goal of developing sustainable and "future-proof" transport solutions for the movement of goods and passengers. Aims to achieve carbon dioxide-neutral production in all plants and business units worldwide by 2039. Adds that its European sites will already be carbon dioxide neutral from this year.

Vantage Towers AG - Dusseldorf, Germany-based mobile phone mast operator - Says Vantage Towers Greece, along with Advent Technologies Holdings Inc, have launched a proof of concept project to replace diesel generators with fuel cells. "By replacing diesel generators with fuel cells at non-permanent sites that are not connected to the power grid, they can be supplied with electricity even more environmentally friendly," the company explains. Firm says that following the completion of the proof of concept project in Greece, it may consider wider deployments.

Airbus SE - Blagnac, France-based aerospace company - Delivers A330-900 aircraft, out of an order of 16 A330neo aircraft, to German airline Condor Flugdienst GmbH. The A330neo will replace the previous generation aircraft in the firm's fleet, reducing Condor's operating costs, Airbus says.

Terna Spa - Rome-based transmission system operator - Firm's new electrical substation in Vizzini, Italy has entered into operation. Explains the project will increase transmission capacity in the area. The infrastructure is connected to the national grid and the station is equipped with technology to improve the energy transformation process, Terna says. Terna also commits to carrying out a series of mitigation works to improve the integration of the project into the surrounding landscape. The project, which has been allocated an investment of over EUR50 million, has been almost entirely funded by the Energy Department of the Sicily Region.

RWE AG - Essen, Germany-based energy company - Enters into a development partnership with oil and gas producer Harbour Energy PLC. Says the partnership will enable RWE to investigate options to capture, transport and store carbon dioxide from its gas fired power stations via Harbour Energy's carbon dioxide transport and storage network. The projects in development are the retrofit of the carbon capture technology at the 1.7 gigawatt Staythorpe CCGT, near Newark, England and a new build H Class CCGT at an RWE-owned site on the Humber in England. The captured carbon dioxide would then be transported to the site of the former Theddlethorpe Gas Terminal. It would then be transported 140 kilometres to Harbour Energy's depleted Viking gas fields in the North Sea for permanent storage.

Hugo Boss AG - Metzingen, Germany-based luxury fashion company - Renews license agreement with beauty firm Coty Inc which owns makeup brands such as Max Factor and Rimmel. The partnership, which began in 2016, now extends beyond 2035 and includes all BOSS and HUGO fragrances for men and women.

Palo Alto Networks Inc - California-based cybersecurity firm - Completes its acquisition of Cider Security, which it describes as a "pioneer" in application security and software supply chain security. Chief Executive Nikesh Arora says: "Cider's technology provides deep visibility and analysis of the tools and processes that are being used throughout the application development lifecycle, resulting in the ability to identify and remediate critical risks at every step. This is consistent with Prisma Cloud's shift left security strategy, as we continue offering innovative solutions that help protect our customers from emerging threats."

Siemens Energy AG - Munich-based energy company - Concludes the tender offer period for Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA minority shareholders with an acceptance rate of 78%. This corresponds to 174.7 million shares tendered by Gamesa shareholders at the fixed offer price of EUR18.05 per share. As a result, Siemens Energy's total shareholding in Gamesa now amounts to 93%. As a result, Siemens Energy will pursue the delisting of Gamesa from the Spanish stock exchanges. Firm says this will allow it to "simplify processes and fully focus on the operational turnaround of the Siemens Gamesa business."
