Goldstone Confirms Stratex Director Emma Priestly As Permanent Chief

Thu, 30th Jun 2016 07:46

LONDON (Alliance News) - Goldstone Resources Ltd on Thursday said it has confirmed Emma Priestley as chief executive on a permanent basis and has appointed Andrew Bell as a non-executive director.

Priestley was appointed as the interim chief executive of Goldstone in February and now will become an executive director as well.

Notably, Priestly is an executive director of Stratex International PLC, which in turn holds a 33.45% stake in Goldstone at a corporate level, and she will remain in that role at Stratex following her permanent appointment to the board of Goldstone.

"We are very pleased that Emma and Andrew are joining the Goldstone board and look forward to their input in helping to drive the company forward as we seek to advance the company's assets," said Goldstone Chairman Christopher Hall.

Stratex noted the appointment in its own statement Thursday and said, due to the potential conflict of interest, that Priestly will "not participate in any Stratex deliberations concerning Goldstone" moving forward.

New Goldstone Non-Executive Bell also is involved with other AIM-listed companies. He is the current chief executive and chairman of Red Rock Resources PLC and is also the chairman of Greatland Gold PLC and Regency Mines PLC.

Goldstone shares were trading down 3.6% to 3.26 pence per share on Thursday, while Stratex shares were trading up 4.5% to 2.09p.
