LONDON (Alliance News) - Independent Oil & Gas PLC on Thursday said it appointed Esa Ikaheimonen as senior independent non-executive director with immediate effect.
The development and production company said Ikaheimonen has over 25 years of oil & gas industry experience and strong board level expertise. He is currently the finance head of London listed exploration and production company Genel Energy PLC and a non-executive chair of Lamor Corp, an environmental services company.
In addition, Independent Oil & Gas said Ikaheimonen will chair the Audit Committee and serve on the Remuneration & Nominations committee.
"We are extremely pleased to welcome Esa to the Independent Oil & Gas board of directors," said Non-Executive Chair Fiona MacAulay.
"His financial expertise and substantial oil and gas industry experience will be invaluable to the company as we execute the funding of our high-value gas hubs and achieve further growth in the coming years," added MacAulay.
Independent Oil & Gas shares were trading 12% higher on Thursday at 18.37 pence each.
