EQTEC PLC - Irish technology solution company for waste gasification to energy projects - Inks exclusivity agreement with Logik Developments Ltd for the Deeside refuse derived fuel project in Wales. The agreement will see Logik grant EQTEC exclusive rights for the potential transaction to obtain full ownership of the project. EQTEC paid Logik GBP100,000 for the exclusivity agreement which will be subtracted from the final amount. The final purchase price for the project will be GBP4.6 million plus a further amount to be determined of which the maximum will be GBP5.4 million. The planning permission on the project includes the construction and operation of a waste management facility for municipal, commercial and industrial waste for 182,000 tonnes of annual residual waste, and an anaerobic digestion plant which is projected to produce 2MW of biogas, the company said.
