TRADING UPDATES: Orcadian to look at electrification of oil platforms

Orcadian Energy PLC - North Sea focused oil and gas development company - Awarded GBP466,667 by the Oil & Gas Authority to evaluate an approach to the electrification of North Sea oil and gas platforms "which will dramatically cut carbon emissions". Will also produce an industry white paper which describes the approach to electrification of offshore oil and gas platforms. Orcadian is working with Crondall Energy, Enertechnos, Petrofac Ltd, North Sea Midstream Partners and Wartsila to undertake the evaluation.

88 Energy Ltd - Alaska-focused oil exploration and appraisal company - Says operations remain on track for the spud of the Merlin-2 appraisal well in February 2022, with snow road construction preparations underway and construction expected to start before the end of 2021, dependent on weather conditions. Pre-commissioning inspection of the Arctic Fox rig is planned for early January. To issue USD7.5 million in shares to a contractor as payment, about 406.7 million shares at AUD0.026 each.

Castillo Copper Ltd - Perth, Australia-based exploration company focused on copper across Australia and Zambia - Says drilling campaign at the Arya prospect in Queensland has concluded, with five drill-holes completed. All samples now at the laboratory getting analysed. Says laboratory delays holding up assay results from Litchfield lithium project in Northern Territory has let to the option acquisition agreement being extended. Says Zambian geology team working on inaugural drilling campaign for the Luanshya project.

Ondine Biomedical Inc - Vancouver, Canada-based life sciences company focused on photodisinfection-based therapies - Starts trading on AIM Market of the London Stock Exchange. Ondine has uses non-antibiotic antimicrobial technology called photodisinfection which rapidly destroys pathogens - including SARS-CoV-2 - without causing resistance.

Cellular Goods PLC - London-based cannabinoid product company - Appoints Anna Chokina as chief executive officer following the launch of its inaugural product range last week Wednesday. Chokina succeeds Alexis Abraham, who becomes chief strategy officer. Both appointments take effect from Monday. Chokina was previously vice president of Global Colour Cosmetics, Global Face Care &Personal Care at New York-based cosmetics company Avon.

Eqtec PLC - Cork, Ireland-based gasification company focused on turning waste into sustainable energy - Inks agreement with Logik Developments Ltd, which will see the two companies vary the terms of the existing share purchase agreement signed by Logik and Deeside WTV. Eqtec to acquire 32% stake in Logik WTE Ltd, the entity which holds the land and necessary planning permissions for the Deeside project, for GBP3.3 million. "Through the new agreement the parties will now act in partnership and seek to develop additional waste-to-value infrastructure on the Deeside site. The parties are currently conducting additional feasibility studies for hydrogen and other biofuels to enhance the project," company says.

Lekoil Ltd - oil and gas exploration and production company with a focus on Nigeria and West Africa - Says it as had no approach from Lekoil Nigeria regarding proposed takeover offer. Says it will liaise with its nominated advisor, legal counsel and shareholders in the coming days to address the issues raised by the Lekoil Nigeria announcement.

Eurasia Mining PLC - palladium, platinum, rhodium, iridium and gold producer in Russia - Says its subsidiary focused on the Kola peninsula has inked a legally binding cooperation agreement with Russian state owned Far East and Arctic Region Development Corp. Says the agreement will help the company obtain further state support and various tax and non-tax benefits.

Norman Broadbent PLC - London-based recruitment firm - Raises GBP75,347 via subscription of 1.1 million shares at 6.75p each. The shares represent approximately 1.8% of the company's issued share capital and come at a 13% premium to the closing mid-market price of its shares on Friday.
