Refinery Status: Valero Benicia Coker Shut For Unplanned Work

DOW JONES NEWSWIRES The following table lists unplanned and planned production outages at U.S. refineries as reported by Dow Jones Newswires. The information is compiled from both official and unofficial refining sources and doesn't purport to be a comprehensive list. Valero Energy Corp. (VLO) Monday said that a coker unit at its Benicia, California, refinery was shut over the June 19-20 weekend for unplanned maintenance following two reportable emission events on Thursday. There is not restart estimate. Valero Energy Corp. said Monday that planned maintenance got underway over the June 19-20 weekend to de-coke a coker unit at complex 7 of the east plant section of its Corpus Christi, Texas, refinery. That work will last several days. Valero Energy Corp. restarted a small crude units at its Paulsboro, New Jersey, refinery over the June 19-20 weekend, the co said Monday.
