EXECUTIVE CHANGES: boohoo taps NatWest expert to boost ESG credentials

Mon, 04th Oct 2021 13:59

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of London-listed company director and manager changes announced on Monday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

----------

boohoo Group PLC - Manchester-based online fashion retailer - Hires Kirsty Britz as non-executive director, starting Monday. Britz is an expert in environmental, social & governance matters. She is director of Sustainable Banking at NetWest Group PLC and an independent member of the Professional Standards Committee at UK tax collector HMRC. Prior to NatWest, Britz was director of Citizenship at fellow lender Barclays PLC. boohoo Executive Chair Mahmud Kamani says Britz's "extensive ESG experience will help ensure the board remains focused on making balanced and sustainable decisions that factor in the impact of our strategy on multiple stakeholder groups". Last week, boohoo published a list of its international factories in an effort to increase transparency within its supply chain. The 17 recommendations from a recent independent review have formed boohoo's 'Agenda for Change' programme, aimed at improving transparency and to meet wider ethical aims. The retailer said its plans to sign the International Accord for Health & Safety, a legally binding agreement aimed at improving working conditions for garment workers. The company had faced allegations of slavery in its supply chain last year.

----------

Access Intelligence PLC - London-based software-as-a-service for communications and marketing industries - Hires Lisa Gilbert as non-executive director, effective immediately. Gilbert is vice president of Brand Sponsorship & Content at Kyndra, part of IBM Corp, and previously was general manager of the IBM Marketing Services Center.

----------

Thor Mining PLC - precious, base, energy and strategic metal projects in the US and Australia - Hires Alastair Clayton as non-executive director, starting immediately. Clayton is executive director at Sydney-listed Artemis Resources Ltd. He is a geologist with 25 years experience in the mining and mineral exploration industry, Thor says.

----------

Ormonde Mining PLC - Co. Meath, Ireland-based mineral explorer with projects in Spain - Board consists of Brian Timmons, Brendan McMorrow and Keith O'Donnell after shareholders at annual general meeting in Dublin on Thursday last week reject the re-election of Tim Livesey as board member and senior independent director. Timmons is chair. Joining the board, McMorrow was chief financial officer of former AIM listing Circle Oil PLC. He is a non-executive director of Karelian Diamond Resources PLC and of Conroy Gold & Natural Resources PLC. Also joining, O'Donnell is an investment and corporate advisor who is currently senior advisor at London-based Portland Advisers.
