River & Mercantile Group PLC - London-based asset manager - Chair Jonathan Dawson buys 10,000 shares at 234 pence, worth GBP23,400, on Monday. Now has 100,800 shares, a 0.1% stake.
Last Friday, AssetCo PLC, a Middle East-focused provider of management and resources to fire and emergency services, said it had acquired 2.9% stake - 2.5 million shares - in River & Mercantile for GBP1.86 per share for a total of GBP4.7 million. On Monday, AssetCo said Martin Gilbert - the co-founder of Aberdeen Asset Management who joined the River & Mercantile board as deputy chair last week - had bought a 29.8% stake in AssetCo, together with associates. The Gilbert purchase didn't involve River & Mercantile.
