AVI Japan Opportunity Trust PLC - Japan-focused investor based in Exeter, England - Raises GBP13.9 million through the issue of 12.1 million shares at 115.07 pence each. In January, it announced its intention to raise up to GBP35 million through a placing. The placing price represents 2% premium to the unaudited net asset value per share on Friday last week. Says it will use new cash to fund further investments in line with its investment policy. Following admission, AVI Japan will have 129.6 million shares in issue.
