Arian Silver Secures Approval To Changes Name To Alien Metals

LONDON (Alliance News) - Arian Silver Corp said Thursday that its shareholders voted in favour of the company's name change to Alien Metals Ltd.

At the company's annual general meeting, held earlier on Thursday, 76% of shareholders voted to approve the name change.

"The company acknowledges that more than 20% of votes were cast against resolutions 7, 8 and 9 in respect of the proposed change of company name," Arian said.

It added: "It is not expected that all investors will favour the new proposed name, but the board consider a clear majority are in favour of the new name and as such, the board will proceed with the change of name."

The company said that after the name change, all issued share certificates bearing the name of Arian will remain valid and will not be replaced.

All other resolutions were passed.

Arian shares were trading down 4.8% at 0.20 pence each.
