Banknote printer De La Rue was in the red today, pulling back after a strong rise the day before after its first-half report. The stock was being weighed down this morning by Citigroup, which downgraded its rating from 'buy' to 'hold'. Yesterday the stock rose strongly on the back of an upgrade from broker Investec from 'hold' to 'buy'.Telecom Plus, UDG Healthcare, and 3i Infrastructure were all lower after going ex-dividend. Meanwhile, shares in NMC Health were given a fillip by news that the Dubai government has made healthcare insurance mandatory for all residents and visitors. Cited by analysts as a key catalyst for FTSE 250-listed NMC, which has three existing facilities in Dubai and one poised to open soon, the government mandate has stipulated that employers will have to provide health insurance for every worker, with the law to be implemented in 60 days. IP Group recovered from its position in the bottom spot yesterday, today up over 6%. Healthcare company BTG continued to rise one day after revealing it has received approval from the US Food and Drug Administration for its Varithena treatment. Varithena, which previously went under the name of Varisolve, is used to treat varicose veins, which can cause a range of unpleasant and painful symptoms. Galliford Try was higher on the news it has won construction and facilities management contracts for two secondary schools in Scotland.
