We were delighted to welcome Will Holland, CFO at Europa Oil and Gas to our London South East IR Webinar on February 28 2023.
AIM-listed Europa (EOG) has a mixed portfolio and is producing oil Onshore UK with a 30% non-operated stake in Wressle, one of the UK's most prolific onshore wells, a 25% stake in UK Offshore Serenity, an appraisal asset, and are farming out part of their stake in the low risk Irish Sea gas field Inishkea. Will Holland CFO gave a positive update on development plans across the portfolio and confirmed that they are also looking at new assets which might generate a quick return.
Tain has been discovered and Europa are drilling the field adjacent to Tain.
"We recalibrated our Serenity model to see where the sands pinch out and it seems to be the same field as the Tain field. We believe we have a single field here and that Serenity is part of Tain. In which case we have a unitisation opportunity where we develop the field as a singe field. Our partners i3Energy are operating this and we are approaching Repsol Sinopec and are in discussions with them at the moment. We think it could produce around 1,000 bopd."
Inishkea 'could be a gamechanger' for Europa, who are looking to get a farm-in commitment to drill an near field exploration well with a 1 in 3 chance of success. The process began a month or so ago. It sits 50 miles offshore in the Irish Sea, close to Corrib, the only source of domestic gas which Ireland has. Any gas find could be tied back to Corrib says Will.
