Always good to be busy.
Definitely a lot of opportunity in the NFT space. All the best with that Cooper
Morning guys,
Jt
yeah, I've took a little break as I got engrossed in a NFT project. Started with a view to maybe making a few different things then got stuck on a theme with endless possibilities and it's snowballed. I have between now and the launch of smart contracts to get this project to a point , ready to be launched. I hope the NFT marketplace will be launched sooner somehow but not sure if that will be possible.
Looks like the Africa deal is done now with Charles last tweet on it and I believe they will announce with the release of the Africa special. Not heard a date for that yet but hopefully soon.
Good evening JTS13, to be really honest I haven’t thought of a time line or how long I maybe in this. At the moment I’m going to see how things pan out between now and next year (sometime). I’ve got a certain view of Charles Hoskinson which kinda gives me the impression that he may pull a couple of surprises out of the hat before the end of the year and maybe add further to the potential of Cardano.
Just a thought.
Kind regards and thanks for your posts.
Jumped above the 20MA today with possible crossing of macd... bullish signal for resumption of uptrend? Let's see, I'd thought this could stagnate for another couple of weeks, but always more comfortable when it ranges at higher numbers.
Beyond Goguen's release (testnet in around 4 weeks, with launch early autumn) news releases for real-world utility such as today's news (https://forum.cardano.org/t/cardano-reveals-its-first-supply-chain-solution-in-association-with-scantrust/56519) are why we're here for the long haul.
Have been seeing a lot more media coverage of late... although who knows, that could also be manipulation of my own search history. It's difficult to tell these days!
@Mitchell, assume that you're looking at this for >6 month horizon? That's when the action is likely going to start
@Cooper, you've not been posting of late. All well with you?
Thanks for the response, I couldn’t agree more, I actually don’t have a Twitter or Facebook account (odd I know) but I’m probably on the same page as you when it comes to meaningful information. All I can really find on the net at best is “To the moon” or the new one “To Mars”.
Once again thank you for your response and good luck with your investment.
Think it's a different market @mitchell. LSE obviously stands for London Stock Exchange, and its consumer base is very much that... People investing in stocks, most of whome will never have heard of Cardano
Crypto has wider appeal to a different type of holder, particularly younger generations, non conventional investors and more tech literate. Think discussions around crypto plays tend to be on Telegram, Twitter and other platforms.
Tbh, I don't want the crowds here. Can rarely read anything of meaning when there are hundreds of overly optimistic posters blurting out pointless one liners about mooning, rockets or whatever.
I’ve only just found this board but I can’t believe how few people there are here ! You would think with the potential that’s in Cardano this space would be going mad.
ETH gas fees are getting insane these days. Just paid over $150s in gas fee for a simple swap
And folks say that there's not a problem!?
Remember seeing IOHK post a stat somewhere about ADA shifting something like $14bn for a few thousand dollars in fees, whereas a similar amount in ETH cost multiple millions. The market has got to mature, that's for sure
Africa deal unexpectedly had to be signed off by a special committee. That committee finally signed off on the project March 25th. They need one more signature by the minister, and they will be ready to officially announce it.
Copied from a Tweet, but saw Charles essentially post this in a video today. Same video, he also mentioned about bringing payments and other things to the region throughout 2022. Game changer in action
Beginning to think that FD7 is right... $20 by close 2023 is looking increasingly possible should these things start rolling out
Looks like we are going for a run here.
Now that we have the smart contracts live in July I think $5 is more than achievable. It's actually still very cheap at that price but, we do have to get there so I don't want to get too excited. One thing to think about though is that the market will decide and the market has never had a Cardano. A peer reviewed built from the mistakes of Bitcoin and Ethereum and stress tested to operate and function on levels they could only dream about. I think we could be in for one hell of a ride.
BTC has a $1t valuation Eth has a $250 bill We are building something truly different. Let's see where it takes us.
Have a look at this. A very good interview/podcast type.
Notable mention for $erg @ 1.21.50 sec
I'd listen to the whole video though if your interested in both Cardano and Erg
Great news yesterday that smart contracts will be live by July and then by September October you will be able to write smart contracts in any language which will be a world first for any blockchain. What happens between now and May I'm not sure but as we approach June and July we should see things really start to move.
There is lots of other news items to come between now and then but that's one of the most bullish.
Good luck guys
I purchased erg on Coinex. It's a painless process but I would advise once you have purchased them to take them of the exchange and keep them in the yoroi wallet. I never leave anything on a n exchange.
This is list of markets you can buy ERG from @abilitygroup: coinmarketcap.com/currencies/ergo/markets/ not on Binance yet. Would likely multiply quickly if there was news of a listing though
I have to admit that I took a quick look into ERG the other week, but didn't really look further. Have been focusing on areas that I'm more comfortable with... Maybe you've encouraged me to look a little deeper over the weekend. And you know what that means, if I decide to buy a few grand worth, coin price will rocket up the night before! lol
Yes, I'm very interest in Liqwid too. Planned for Q3 if I remember right
Jt,
Yeah it was a good video. Lots of bullets fired lol
Not used trust swap but with the cardano smart contracts going live soon we will be first mover with the first defi apps that launch. As holder will will be able to farm and earn these defi apps coins etc. So free money in a sense. Liwqid finance is one I look forward to. We will get LQ coins for sating our cardano
I have some ERG which is a small cap with possibilities to do 100x if the right news comes long. Charles again in a video the other day stated it should be a top 10 coin. it's $2 but if it got to the top 10 it would $460
See Bitcoin possibly heading towards support around $40,000s.... might be a rocky few days for a few of our other alt coin holdings like ADA that could get caught up in the sell-off
Would love to be wrong. Either way, diamond hands :)
Thanks for referring to the video. I wasn't aware that ADA already moves as much (if not more) value than ETH. It was quite a rant. "Dumpster fire ETH", "Ponzi scheme", "should be illegal", "have some patience" etc
He thinks people will be "very happy" with the upcoming Cardano 360 event. Let's hope so
Have you ever looked into Trustswap? One of their services is to audit start-up crypto projects and then launch their ICOs with guaranteed access for anyone staking 4000+ SWAP. I saw a stat somewhere that if an invester partook in the offerings provided, they'd of been able to convert their original $19k investment into over $500k in under 6 months. Perhaps best launches are behind us (like Chain's 100x since Sep 20), but it's worth looking into and then selectively getting involved in future launches. With SWAP gaining other traction of late, I've also picked it up as an investment in and of itself.
Small MCs (sub 50 mill) have massive potential to move if they are genuinely delivering utility. However, finding those gems are a challenge. SWAP helps via auditing and letting us in early...that's where I ended up shoving my recent earnings
Not budging from ADA any time soon. Maintains my largest crypto holding, but have noticed other investments very quickly catching up. It's a great time to be invested in this space
I think we will hear something on Africa on Thursday at the Cardano 360 event.
Latest video from Charles on twitter was a barn stormer and well worth watching.
Looking like a dip before we explode back up. BTC should settle round about the 52k level and if so the Alts should start to pump.
I know you shouldn't flip but I sold my link after discovering a few projects including Cardano are creating their own oracles.
I bought some Aave with the proceeds of the sale. See how it goes but it's a quick double up if they can test the recent high again in the next couple of week.s
I wonder if there may have been a bit of disappointment following Charles's Africa keynote. John had highlighted that once they had government contracts lined up that they make the public announcement at an African event... easy to have mistaken the past event as being the same thing
Tbh, given the rocket ride late last year to early Feb this year, most folks should be content with things to stay flat for the rest of the year.... its amazing however how quickly the crypto world gets bored and moves on
Yeah,
it's hard to get the timing right with crypto. I'm already planning my strategy for 2024.
Where ever I decide to invest it will be done early and left till my target time frame of 12 to 18 months.
This last week has been a roller coaster which can be eliminated by placing your chips down very early in the cycle and by the time your half way through that cycle you would most likely be sitting on profits of 200% or 300% making dips and drops more easy to handle.
I'm still holding tight for now and looking forward to a huge April.
Gl guys.
Said that I'd intended to buy more in a couple other alt coins like CHAIN and SPI. So signed in to buy and what do you know, CHAIN up over 200% and SPI jumped massively too since that post
Right idea, wrong timing
Made that initial mistake with ADA too, hence why average is so high
Ce la vie!
Some nice holdings there Cooper
I've sold off much of my earlier purchases today (IOTA, ETH, BNB, NEO etc). Consolidating. Will pick up more ETH as always good to have but looking to have fewer core holdings, a few higher risk ones (like CHAIN & SPI), then others for stable yield gains at 15%+ - which can't complain at given today's interest environment. Considering using SwissBorg for that, though Yield App is reasonable also. Am looking forward to ADA being added to such opportunities
I still have a lot more in regular investments. I'm large in ESGs offering 5-7% dividends, metal miners like CAML, and then diverse range of EV, battery, finance, O&G, energy, green infrastructure, comms & blockchain plays. In general, I want 20%, expect 10%, forecast 5%, and would be gutted with anything under that...lol
Financial freedom within 5 years would be great. Already able to bank 100% of salary due to ability to have dividends & side business activities pay for our lifestyle. Patience and quietly building. Few hundred grand with ADA wouldn't hurt though :)
I set some ambitious profit takes which didn't trigger but I'm happy to hold and let this run its course.
Cardano’s $1B futures open interest shows ADA is a serious contender
Make no mistake, breaking the $1 billion open interest barrier is a feat that only (BTC) and Ether (ETH) have achieved.
Cardano definitively seems to be decoupling from other altcoins, reaching 85,000 daily active addresses. Moreover, there appears to be no indication of fabricated numbers as its growth path seems organic and in line with the volume activity.

Standard technical moves. e.g. MACD day reading at point of crossing back into positive territory always results in a swing. We clipped ATH, which traditionally breaks on 3rd effort (ie, next time), 4hr was overbought and is returning to 20 MA for support (which I'm guessing will also be around the 38% fib) AND also reinforcing 1.20 as support... basically, what looks to the novice as a steep drop is actually a very bullish signal
Trust you held gman
