Jackson Financial Inc Share Price (JXN.US)

Very weird. Technically opened at $104, having been gapping down over 8% in early morning trades, and now $114 as if nothing had happened. I don't get the accounting figures at all, at all. But I retain faith in 31% rise in annuity sales yoy, nav of $145 per share, and a PE of only 5. Also reasonably confident that management have consistently been underegging the cake, and hope this remains true.

Well that was a quick turnaround (helped by the White House sentiment), JXN opened up in NY…..

The out of hours trading was clearly illadvised.

It is odd…..management says strong results but the market takes fright and the shares are down 11% at 8am UK in out of hours trading.

The reporting is very complicated which cant help when there is a ‘new hedging approach’.

Shareholder returns and capital position still seem strong.

It feels like an over-reaction so give it a few days to see where it settles….

Looks like results have leaked before the close as it dropped like a stone into the close.

Down another 6% post market. Brace yourselves!

6.97 shares "dripped" today @ $105.33 each, total $734. Up from $634 this time last year: 15.8% up, 12.5% the divi increase, the rest from the 27 extra shares dripped in the year's four 80c divis.

Planning on (slowly) moving them all across from my Schwab account to my SIPP, partly to save the 15% NRA tax, and partly against future CGT (currently on a 180% gain).
