Xtrackers Physical Gold ETC Share Price (XGLD)

Tyfoon & anyone else reading this board - I'll be back on the BMN board tomorrow, I just thought it might be nice to have another place to hide out for a bit of sensible discussion should the need arise - consider this a dry run. I thought the BMN BB took a turn for the worse today - not just the nonsensical attack on BBN but the leaping on each other by a couple of poster whom I previously respected. I tried to hold a mirror up with my first post this afternoon (the golf one) but apart from getting a few votes, it didn't seem to help abate the madness. I do worry that once the suspension is lifted and shares start trading again, we will inevitably suffer an influx of newbies who make their money following the hot share and post simply to enhance their positions. And whilst I have no more accountability to or for the Bushwackers than anyone else, I wouldn't want to see people loose out from manipulation of their fears, greed or other emotions by the unscupulous - it's been to good a place to trade ideas and unpick the story. 4 other points: 1. I was also thinking ORIX but again, shareholder approval required? Don't know; 2. ML is a twt to come on the BB and attack BBN, not sure what his point is? Does it matter to any of us pi's here if he's outside or inside undercover as long as he's leading us in the right direction ie to the money? He's got my vote! 3. Where is BBN? I hope he hasn't been put off by ML's puerile attack, that would be a crying shame and I mean that. 4. Yes, LSE has been terrible most of today, you'd think they'd get a grip of their IT eh?

@Ophidian, your concerns about mischief makers are, I think, unfounded. Any mischief they try to make at the moment can have no effect as no-one can sell anyway, no matter how spooked they are and, if FM produces the proverbial rabbit then all that negative spin will blow away like smoke on the breeze. The only impact they will have is if FM has somehow cocked up somewhere, in which case we're kinda boogered anyway (at least in the short to medium term) but I just can't see him doing that, he's much too shrewd IMO

On the strategic partner front, a pure funding option is still a possibility from ORIX, the same multi billion dollar backer of UET

Yes my faith would be in Fortune to have a plan about it, my concern (particularly after the way the BMN LSE BB is today), is that any opportunities for mischief makers cannot be good. I would really ust rather see Fortune be a bit more forthcoming with a timetable for example to lay it out. Now the cat is out of the bag I see no real impediment to a bit better communications
