Doubly Perversely, anyone with significant hedging would make a shedload of profit which would then raise calls to have another windfall tax at even more punitive rates, so on and so forth, ever decreasing circles !!! ... lol

In reality though, we will never, ever meet the criteria for removal of windfall tax (EPL) imo.

Perversely, we might make more money if O&G prices plummet. Once they get below a certain threshold for a sustained period (can't recall specifics), the "windfall" tax ceases to apply. Utterly absurd.

Not true, when SQZ announced the 15 Million buyback shares got to 206P from mid 180’s but once the company announced that the bought shares are not going to be cancelled but kept in Treasury then market got spooked as to what was the benefit of this buyback

As the no of shares in issue will remain the same

So what is SQZ playing here if not cancelling the shares bought then obviously these shares are going to be kept as part of golden hello to whoever going to be the new CEO

So this buyback has no benefit to the SP

Where as all other company buybacks are simply canceled meaning less shares in issue

SQZ has to come clean and tell the shareholders as to why spend 15 Million of company money buying your own shares to simple have the locked up !! For what?

It’s strange I have no explanation whatsoever as to why such action is undertaken by this company

If SQZ dont get a decent deal done they are dead in the water, particularly if G&O prices start dropping. Tough call TBH

Some decent buying volume though so you would think the tide will turn soon
