Had a feeling they would RNS the BAFTA. Great work, Zinc Media!
Lol yes we do!!
We need to get out more bud lol
Good timing shenners just watching the same thing!
Another bafta for Zinc. Brook lapping production on suffragettes. Well done.
And her the fabled words Zinc Media... just won another BAFTA great work guys
I could be off the mark but I’m expecting a directors buy RNS mon/tue, not huge buys but good intentions. I also too a quick look at Mark Brownings twitter account and liked his latest tweet “Tiger Woods astonishing comeback at the Masters, Liverpool’s heroic comeback last night, and Spurs incredible turnaround tonight. Utterly inspiring. Sport is such a metaphor for life and business. #ChampionsLeague”
Especially the business bit ;-)
I expect someone firmly in the know regarding future plans
Who is that block buyer ?
Yes looks mighty cheap .might just buy back in here .
For those that believe news could be with us shortly?
BMR you are quite right my friend this price is crazy cheap.
I've said it before but... Bargain price!!
at a huge discount to price at which directors bought. Have things deteriorated massively since then.? I doubt it but M/c now well below cost of Tern alone. Seems very cheap for brave buyers.
Well somebody dumped 6.5m shares this morning. They obviously don't have any confidence in Mark Browning, or they needed the cash... I'll be holding because I believe he can grow Zinc Media, hopefully to a MC of £30m+. Patience required!
The 2p party is very much still on although this share tests my patience beyond belief I feel it will come good. My view is we need a division akin to Brave Bison and Mr Browning is aware of this and will be a major part of his plans. We have Herald and with a man like him at the Helm he will have been promised backing. Therefore I feel the true picture will begin to unfold over the next 8 months. ATB guys

Documentaries getting more popular & more people are choosing what to watch, I just read that Kylie Minogue & her husband "enjoy watching documentaries" on netflix. It seems whoever i talk to is watching something different, they are choosing what to watch, if they watch anything on whatever Screen they use. Documentaries are so educational, people are really getting into them. I feel Zinc is well placed to capitalise on demand for content & Mark Browning understands this, He grew ITNP by creating more & more content, not by buying production companies, He actually builds them. I expect he has very good connections & at the moment will be getting his head around what has been going on at Zinc !! Mark is taking over from David Galan whose Linked in page shows quite a varied history !! Mark Browning on the other hand has just spent 9 years building a TV Production company from scratch & growing it 40% year on year by utilising all of its tools - He understands TV Production & also managing people, it really sounds like he can role up his sleeves & pitch in where necessary as he knows whats going on !!
As to "How Much Lower" - well not very many shares are being traded & i am sure Herald & other large holders who make up the majority will hold & give Mark Browning a chance to use his natural abilities to grow this company organically, I certainly will & will be looking forward to those champagne supernovas at Shenners 3p party, or was that changed to 2.5p.
Two interesting questions to end with are "Why would Mark Browning leave ITNP which he had spent 9 years growing, & move to Zinc Media ??? Where does Mark see opportunity ??? well he has left ITNP so that only leaves Zinc. !!
I also agree that it's going to take exceptional news to get us back to a good level (1p plus). Even if it rises over time I'm happy, but at the moment it's going nowhere but down.
I'm also slightly worried they might do a discount placing to make another acquisition and to top up working capital... Is Mark about to start loading up on the open market, or is he waiting to buy in cheap via a placing?
If I remember rightly, it was David Galan's vision to sell Zinc in 2020. However, it was also his intention to grow the company quickly, but that seems to have slowed down somewhat?
I'd like to know what Mark's vision is for the company. I can't see him moving to ZM just for a takeover opportunity. I think he will want to grow the company as much as possible (hopefully organically) and then look to sell the business.
There's still a lot of potential here, especially if we can begin to win more clients in the US, particularly the big SVODs.
I have a feeling ITN will buy us out. My theory is that Mark has been appointed to make preparations from the inside. The value of Zinc must be well above our current market cap though. I can’t see massive shareholders like herald investment management letting this go for anything under 1p or maybe even more. If my theory is right and an announcement is made, the sp would 4bag in the blink of an eye.
Is this going. It will need some exceptional news or a t/o to get it back to a decent level. GLA
It could happen. ITN is private. It would probably save them some running costs but they have a greater chance of raising money on AIM. Unless they are planning to do a cheap placing then make an offer to buy shareholders out?
Would we get offered much?
Just a theory at this stage but the board appointments and depressed sp along with a major shareholder leave me feeling this is going private and de-listing. Time will tell
Welcome aboard, Mark...
Browning said: "I am excited to finally be starting at Zinc. It is highly regarded in the television sector for making some of the most high-end content in the market and is well placed given its impressive footprint in the nations and regions.
"There is plenty of growth potential in the TV businesses, both domestically and internationally, and through Zinc Media's digital arm, Zinc Communicate".

I agree - it'll be interesting to watch this develop, although I wouldn't expect instantaneous results, I'm expecting significant gains medium to long term
