Dropping the placing in now was a surprise, but not unexpected given the apparent underestimation previous of the size of the deposit.
Thought would come at some point later. Least it’s out the way now.
Are in a very strong position now to attract some serious investment. The question of funding this next phase was a big factor in wether or not could attract them. Along with the impending results.
But is clear now the BOD have every confidence that this will become a first class find. And will now start attracting the attention deserved.
Great interview too, very assuring.
And all above board too....
agree Steve
Bird1 sounding a lot like Pops for certain... perhaps Pops aggression level finally popped and he is now officially an angry Bird..
either way a pretty dismal 1 post wonder attempt to spout nonsense amidst a wave of good news and positive sentiment.
all those who thought XTR still had not of £3m in the bank were correct I feel however the extent of phase 2 was gonna take a lot more so they now have up towards £10m in the cash reserves..
and a mountain of news to start releasing,.
all pretty marvellous from what I can gather.
>> Bird1 must have lost some value in their history with CB companies
Is it almost certainly Pops1980 who has been attacking CB for many months on forums for CB companies (XTR, BZT, GLR, etc.). I am surprised it took this long for him to be banned, given the content of his posts. I don't what his original problem was, but he has been at it for so long you won't deter him by logical argument. Easier to filter or ignore.
>> Very good Steve4077, I'm only paticularly interested in the shares i hold and have no interest looking for other examples. You seem very keen to diss my concerns, are you a Broker?
No, I'm not a broker :) I am just trying to point out that taking two examples from hundreds of placings is not exactly scientific analysis. Its like tossing a coin twice and getting heads both times, then concluding that tossing a coin always results in heads.
If you feel happier believing that the world is out to get you, then go ahead. But if you want to convince anyone else, then you need actual evidence to support your assertions.
hes been on GLR too the clown.
Bird1 must have lost some value in their history with CB companies
Time will tell but I'm bullish with where XTR is heading trajectory wise and have been fortunate enough to come to the party more recently than 2016
Its often the way that PI's get hammered at some point and the stock finds an investable level again.
DYOR one and all
I think the user name screams out 'agenda'
The informed on here will be making their decisions on current performance
Given the CB stalking, I assume this is a new account from Pops1980
As i've previously stated, my GUESS is if 'ole 2 assay results were better than 'ole one we'd have had them by early/mid April ( towards pushing up the s/p and facilitating the placing he had in mind at a higher level than 5.6p) or if 'ole 2 assay results were about the same as 'ole 1 we'd also have them by now too (towards halting the slow creep down from 7p + and facilitating the placing he had in mind at a higher level than 5.6p) Therefore I'm ok with today's placing price, including the warrants too ( and understand that such a placing needed doing now to pregress this exercise quickly and to the extent required )
I remain reasonably confident that, in the end, we'll get an altogether Racecourse find that will get a buyer for at least plenty of 10's of milions. ( eg open pit small/mid scale discovery/commercial development ) and I'm mildly confident it could be 100's of millions instead of 10's ( eg a tier 1 ish type discovery/commercial development)
Again too, I also GUESS we'll get 'ole 2 and 3 assay results together.. which hopefully, on average, together may give a better market reaction outcome than 'ole 2 on its own might have.
Greengrass, I'll take what you say at face value...if you look at ecr they have been going down in a steady trend for months, there wasn't any real difference in this trend before the placing.
If we take xtr, the placing price is the same price the share was at 3 weeks ago, since then on very low volume it's drift up and down a bit. A high of 6.9 was reached just over a week ago and the trading day before the placing it dropped to 6.2 so I 0% from this high. All on low volumes...
The shares have no similarity whatsoever. There is no evidence of manipulation.
I don't support brokers and think they are lowlife s and think less of nomads, but in this circumstance, it appears clean and actually very good.
Very good Steve4077, I'm only paticularly interested in the shares i hold and have no interest looking for other examples. I would be somewhat unfortunate though if the the shares i've mentioned were the only ones to have suffered this fate.
You seem very keen to diss my concerns, are you a Broker?
>> My concern is that pre placing ,share prices seem to fall significantly, as youve pointed out yourself, 45% and 20% . Why do you think this is? I would also imagine that to most shareholders a 20% fall is significant.
You are presenting that as a fact based on just the 2 shares you quoted. Come back with 50 examples or 100 and I might start considering you have a point. To make your case properly, you would have to show all placings for all AIM stocks over a period, not just the small number that fit your theory.
Steve4077,
I think your missing my point. My concern is that pre placing ,share prices seem to fall significantly, as youve pointed out yourself, 45% and 20% . Why do you think this is? I would also imagine that to most shareholders a 20% fall is significant.
Damn... it looks like like my hope that Q1 alluvials would pay for phase 2 have just been dashed :-)
@greengrass7
Almost all placings are conducted at a discount. That discount is the interest for the funding companies, which are not interested in company fundamentals. They just want to make their 10% and then use the money again.
All placings mean dilution, but how else do you suggest that an exploration company with no income should fund its exploration programs? They can't take a loan because there is no income to pay it back. If you don't like placings, then you should only invest in producers.
A lot more buys recorded than sells..... but that might be the drop messing up LSEs algorithm.
Anyway.... im pretty sure this will bounce.
Steve 4077. You make a fair point, I can also add GWMO .26 to placing .22. My sample are three shares that i hold, two of them large holdings, that have suffered from these discounted placings and warrant awards. All three via Novum securities.
I have no problem with placings just the price and terms under which they are conducted. O f course its all about opinions and if you are content with constant discounted dilution all well and good. After 25 years of trading on AIM i'm very cynical.
>> Xtr 7p a few days ago walked down to 6.2 ,placing at 5.6 , coincidence?
>> ECR 3.9 walked down to 2.5 over a few days, placing 2.2, coincidence?
Considering how many placings happen on AIM, your theory would have more weight if you had a sample size larger than 2. Why not look at all placings this year so far and see how many follow that pattern. Also, even in your sample, one drops 45% and the other only 20% so not really the same anyway.
Not a fan of warrants, creates more drag later on
Iceberg, thankyou for your kind words. Xtr 7p a few days ago walked down to 6.2 ,placing at 5.6 , coincidence?
ECR 3.9 walked down to 2.5 over a few days, placing 2.2, coincidence?
Whilst i wouldn't be rude enough to call you a idiot, i would certainly call you naive.
Placing first news on holes next, if this drifts lower I am definitely adding more
F100
That's the bit that hurts for me, the fact it has come around so VERY quickly after the last placing. It's just a bit demoralising for us PI's. I really had hoped to have seen a TR1 by now to give us some boost/confidence. I suppose it's somehow adjusting the mindset that this is really going to take some time to see the SP properly rise.
Greengrass, don't be an idiot. Yes they are sh brokers, but xtr hasn't been walked down and the volumes have been tiny, there hasn't even been enough volume for the brokers shares to have been forward sold let alone the placee shares.
Iceberg - Yes, a TR1 to confirm a group like the Commodity Discovery Fund has taken a significant position would turn this into good news.
Maybe this news was intentionally released first, knowing that maybe it would have an negative effect on the share price. Then with the assay results being collated and having a positive effect on the share price?
