Renewable Energy Generation Limited ("REG") (AIM: WIND), the UK renewable energy group, today announces that Peterborough City Council planning committee has resolved to grant planning permission for an extension to its French Farm wind farm project. The extension is for four additional turbines of an identical 100m tip height to the extant two turbine planning permission. The resultant 12MW scheme will have an anticipated annual energy output of 28.5GWh, making it one of REG's most productive wind farms. Formal planning permission is expected to follow shortly and subject to the expiry of the six week legal challenge period, the project is expected to enter construction later this year. Andrew Whalley, REG Chief Executive Officer, said: "The further 8MW of capacity at French Farm will provide an excellent addition to REG's portfolio. "The wind farm will also make a considerable contribution to Peterborough City Council's aspiration to become the UK's Environment Capital while the local community will benefit from the project's Community Fund expected to total £1.5million over the life of the project. At a time of constrained government spending REG is delighted to be able to provide local funding in this manner."
Price going up today on very small volumes, expect some good news soon.
See http://renews.biz/57162/reg-buys-vestas-at-english-duo/ Renewable Energy Generation has ordered Vestas turbine hardware at a pair of English wind farms totalling 18MW. The purchase covers five V80 machines at REG’s St. Breock scheme in Cornwall and four V90s at the Ramsey Extension in Cambridgeshire. The turbine supply agreement is conditional upon completion of project financing for both projects, which REG anticipates will be concluded early in the New Year.
Good morning all. This seems to have been a worthwhile marketing event by the company. http://www.energyshare.com/editorial/the-great-british-wind-meal/
Bazrington, I must admit, I haven't looked at the reasons extensively but ever since the change from onshore to offshore subisidy was announced by the government this has fallen fairly hard, previous to that it was the ex. div. effect. My opinion hasn't changed yet, but look forward to possible clarity from management in next IMS. DYOR.
Lets hope weds agm shakes things up a bit here. The sp seems to have stalled somewhat!
Construction of solar project at Goonhilly Downs Mon, 28th Oct 2013 09:22 RNS Number : 5197R Renewable Energy Generation Ltd 28 October 2013 Renewable Energy Generation Ltd Construction of solar project at Goonhilly Downs Renewable Energy Generation Limited ("REG") (AIM: WIND), the UK renewable energy group, announces that it has signed an agreement with juwi Renewable Energies Limited for the construction of a 4.5MW solar project at Goonhilly Downs in Cornwall. The project, REG's first ground-mounted solar PV scheme, will utilise spare capacity within the existing grid connection secured when REG repowered the Goonhilly Downs wind project in 2010. The project is expected to cost in the region of £5m to build and is expected generate around 5.5GWh electricity per annum. REG hopes to complete construction of the project by the end of Q1 2014. I calculate the FIT income alone to be about £363k/year 5.5GWh at 6.85p/Kwh (less 3.5%) see http://www.fitariffs.co.uk/eligible/levels/ for rates, don't know how much extra they will get from sale of generated electricity,
your a wise brick.lol..... looks like lego's taken the day off...........
Oh I don't allow her use of cards. That would be very irresponsible.
shese just posted on another board that shese really off shopping......... hide the cards.lol....
Pushing her off to work soon. Just thought the ticker was appropriate. Not in AQP. But I do have some jsjs, hyr, qpp and prg.
I don't know, wind turbines?...you and shippy both on a day off today.......... aqp?in free fall.?.....
Could this be the share to be in today?
That would be good, I agree with you that there is still lots of potential in the SP to move upwards.
At these rate we should make 3 figures by Christmas!!
Given the financial position announced today, a market cap of £80m looks very cheap. A great company all round and a great price to add at.
and nice to be part of this company. A well written (and personable) RNS, plus a postive acknowledgement of their staff - this is something you seldom see. Good News

The project will comprise two 2MW turbines and is expected to deliver 11GWh of clean electricity per annum. Under the terms of the agreement, REG will support the College's educational programme by providing access to the turbine and will make annual lease payments to the College for the duration of the project. REG aims to start construction of the project during its current financial year. Andrew Whalley, Chief Executive Officer commented; "We are delighted to be able to partner with South Staffordshire College on this wind project which originally received planning permission in 2010. This is an excellent example of the wind industry working within a local community not only in terms of providing financial assistance but, perhaps more importantly, valuable educational support". Could see a rise to mid 90's+
From final results "...South Sharpley has already been sold to BlackRock under our existing agreement and it is anticipated that Orchard End will be sold later this year." and follows later "...Your Company remains in sound financial health and by the time we have completed the sale of the Orchard End wind farm we should have free cash resources of over £30m" And from the accounts "Cash at end of year (30 June 2013) 17,533,000" From which I calculate Orchard Farm will bring in about £12m
Hmmm interesting times. I am now sat on a healthy profit here but am wondering why the sharp (and most welcome) uplift in sp has "suddenly" appeared. The 2nd blackrock acquisition had been signposted many months ago. Methinks, perhaps there might just be a little bit more afoot!
Great to see someone else on this board and recognising what a great stock this is to buy. Our days in 2 figures must surely be numbered.
Great progress on the share price in the last few days. The market obviously likes the sale confirmation and the link with Blackrock has obvious benefits.
And still the market cap looks a complete nonsense. Happy to keep adding here at such a discount though.
