Close brothers sold a lump explains where shares came from .
Thinking of buying one of these
Any feedback from an owner?
Not convinced either Duffy’s or Cinch are big enough to take VTU over. However they will know more than us and know of someone else that is. Perhaps both have loaded to make a few quid. Interesting times
Industry players buying in heavily. They must know something is coming
Looks like Joe Duffy Group taking a position.
Surprised if there was 9m shares available to buy , was not showing any thing like that available on L2 at the buy point
Must have been a neg trade to get volume .
Highest volume day in 2.5 years!
If it was Cinch then it’ll take them to 9%. Hopefully it’s some one else as a rival.
Humongous volume yesterday. Looks like we are in the final lap before the unknown predator strikes.
3 x 3 Million trades
Ok initial bid 105
Bit of fun and speculative with Cinch increasing. Any predictions for a bid, will go with 110p. Vertu is the last major car dealership listed.
The question has to be why as cinch doubled its position in this company .
It would be a mega deal if Cinch tried to buy Vertu. I doubt it will happen. Seems an odd move. Maybe they are just trying to diversify a little?
It's a very interesting move, having reached this point I reckon they must be looking for 10%, that would give real influence and potential ability to appoint someone to board. They could of course go all the way to 30% until being required to make an offer, but unless they team up with another backer not clear they have firepower for that, and at this rate it'd be slowest takeover ever.
Either way buys from someone like this at the coal face of car biz gives Vertu a lot of credibility
Cinch rns
Wonder what position size they are looking for? Could be a lot of buying pressure still to come!
Large increase in volume yesterday , looks like buys to me . No real selling volume came in .
What about the 2x 2850k trades just before?
We'll find out who that is tomorrow hopefully.
Is that a 800k buy I see
Only reply to this message if it applies to you!!!
Run on the stops this morning’s no volume showing on trades yet but may show up at close, was down to an obvious level to get liquidity . Expect this to go higher in next few weeks .
Yes noted
Careful posting anything which is fact based and true, most on here only want to hear rampant good news and speculation , anything honest will meet rudeness and fear based anger . Watch the comments , noted that Peter jones was at the recent shareholder get togeather, got a nice holding by all accounts .
Motorpoint paints a weak market outlook and with dropping used car prices, not great for VTU
Market is over. Bidders will need to move fast to snap up undervalued companies like VTU. Tick Tock MFs
