Good evening Porsche1946
""As Terry Smith says that is the most stupid phrase ever"
As Forrest Gump says, "Stupid is as stupid does" a phrase that typifies your repeatedly daft and contradictory posts written with an enormous amount of artistic licence.
Enjoy your weekend

Vod is a cash cow
Sort the overheads/debt and problem solved
Porsche1946 working overtime to push the bear case, does this mean it's time to fill one's boots?
I think the market is deciding on whether they made their FY targets.... and recent share price weakness suggests it thinks they haven't quite done so ....due to continuing difficult trading environment noted in Feb update...and the need for more time to extract the cost saving target ...which is underway...latest ROCE number ...
" Continuing to target updated FY23 guidance: Adjusted EBITDAaL €15.0 - 15.2 billion and Adjusted FCF c.€5.1 billion"
I still see this SP weakness for the near term, unless there are any positive surprises that are not expected ..the US default nonsense and ECB/BoE rate rises etc...acting as macro market negatives and nerves ...in general
CEO Outook and guidance will be key...being the CFO she will work out what to target to achieve better performance but may set out a CM Day in the near future to present her idea of what needs doing and when and what it will all achieve ..she seems to doing well so far and started putting the right people in positions, cost cutting , targeting and being open about areas to improve ...but up against it when interest rates are causing weak economic GDP figures and people/businesses are cautious
Now needs to find a strong new CFO to work well with the CEO ..make a good convincing team
I see continued weakness as at present for the near term ..cant see the results showing too many surprises unless things have turned worse than the Feb update....the US default nonsense and economic back drop not making things easier just yet....and her work not yet having enough time to filter through quite yet...but...if the confidence is there she has the plan then the market will respond once she sets it all out ..IMO
£1.10 for me.
I believe we’ll hear some good stuff in the week.
Buy on rumour sell on news works if the sp goes higher in the lead up to something- we don’t have that here so it’s a hold for me.
Hopefully paid down debt with proceeds of jv. Will the market react positively if debt reduces?
Revenue will decrease slightly due to sale of assets.
I think some strong underlying profit numbers but markets expecting some write downs, what will be interesting is forecast ebitda for 2023 after massive price rises in April. I think this is what will push the sp higher. £1 for me bob. Only think to take it higher will be sale of any of our overseas divisions
82.5p please,expect bad bt news.
Hi Roofer. I will go £1 please. Have a good week everybody, all eyes on Tuesday.
"Past performance is no guarantee of future results" Clearly Porsche doesn't know the difference between the two words, guarantee & guide.
…oh and by the way, it’s not racism to suggest that whole areas of the country like dumps like Bradford and the people’s republic of South Yorkshire being colonised by Asian immigrants may not actually be a good thing…..when English is no longer the first language in a British school and English kids are the minority voice…..fortunately I left the U.K. in 2015 as I sold a large business and it saved me 7 figures in CGT, I can enjoy from the sunshine and a fantastic lifestyle watching pretty much everything I thought would happen, and worse, coming true for the U.K. It’s poorer in every way, shocking, also, why do you think so many companies are removing their U.K. listing on the ftse? Writing is on the wall I’m afraid and brexit was the final nail. What happens when you let the great unwashed vote on anything important . As for this, it’s a short to sub .50p, watch this space.
Past performance is no guarantee of future results, "need I say more"?
As Terry Smith says that is the most stupid phrase ever, of course past performance is a guide to future results.
92 for me please Bob

It is just a general article about what her strategy decisions might be...no answers given..
Italy/Spain - sell/hold??.Italy now 19 quarters with falling service revenue
Invest in Germany as it is a key market??
Increase general expenditure in order to improve performance ??
She is pro dividend, analysts think to hold as is
Three merger if done - €400m synergies saving
Vantage Towers stake sell - €6.5B to reduce net debt to lower end of target range
No spectrum auctions until 2030s now helps
Then short note about BT that reports Thursday...
Can anyone share this article please? Thanks

'One of the attractions is said to be a split in management between the retail operations and the networking/B2B side.'
Thats interesting Jatw. Darren Purkis of 3 fits that model perfectly (retail operation) and Hutch want to get a return on their investment (must be €5Bn loan or so on their intercompany with 3 UK) which fits the networking/ spectrum side. Exciting stuff imo
Robleo, yes the SP has dropped along way the last 5 years. But this last 12 months or so various parties have offered sums which in total suggest the sum of the parts are indeed at least = to the carrying value of the net assets. Many interested in why it isnt reflected in the SP (perhaps thats the debt derivatives/ options on the SP and why NR exited?). And with E&, Liberty Global and Iliad falling over themselves to buy large tranches of stock, when do the iis who are 'rebalancing' away from VOD get replaced by serious investors. E& even suggesting they may go for 20% and a 2nd exec on the BoD and perhaps 25%. This time it may be different LoL?
