Yeah I get that too jax..thats why I've started this thread...going to be interesting re dividend...the jury's out I feel thx gl
For balance I too am a holder but I expect a significant dividend cut.
Thanks avocet..gl
Personally I think VOD is a cash flow monster, that's clear from the figures. Debt is reduced also. I think div will at least be maintained for the foreseeable.
I don't post on this bb often but it seems little confidence in the share atm and tbf I'm not totally sure either...at aroundx10% yield I'm going to keep my shares for the time being...whats the general consensus re the dividend being maintained going forward...tia..gla.
Hey guys, just calm down. Its the macro thats driving things. If there is any untoward influence and its illegal, the police or some other body can pick up the tcp ip addresses and work it out.
Show me this disinformation
I’ll talk Vod up when they deserve it
Jax you are a paid employee whose job it is to fill the BB with negative disinformation.
Everyone except you knows vod is going to pop. Go figure
Nobody cares what the obvious and mostly open de-ramper shorties here say. A blind man can see this downtrend will soon reverse.
Shorties get burned 😀
Why do you care?
Research brought me here in the hope Vod would not appoint MDV and the 3 merger was something a little bit noteworthy- neither materialised so the sp deservedly tanked
I can talk this down if I wish - it warrants a talk down - and hold shares - it makes no difference - as I’m long still hoping for something
* and tomorrows Friday. No reputable ii trades on a Friday. Only rogue traders knockingon elderly investor doors to try an con them out of their savings,. Jax and Avo, you are a disgrace and nearly prosecutable
You think Jax and I are the same poster. Comedy gold. We are actually sitting on opposite sides of the fence.
Jax just lies about holding VOD and talks it down all the same thinking that he is actually influencing the sp, which is deluded. He should seek another psychiatrist
'Does anyone here know why Jax is still a shareholder of VOD? '
Thats because you are the same poster trying to get nervous investors to sell so you can close your shorts
It took Nick Read 4 years to lose 40% of mcap
MDV is on track to smash that within the next few days - I’m so glad she’s VODs saviour lol
Does anyone here know why Jax is still a shareholder of VOD? He won't tell me.
Just can't understand how any renumeration panel can't look at this train crash and put the brakes on any bonus until the SP recovers. Not sure WTF they are doing but must be meeting daily to plan the next trench down as who knows where this will end. Briket downgrades. Loss of over 20b in market cap. Poor customer service results and no end to the decline yet bonuses paid. Anazing
They will eventually work it out and the next cycle kicks in. There is probably some great programmer in the sky who determines what the SP will be on the road to global connectivity. Its a utility at the moment and pays 11% dividend..!
Debatable whether Vodafone has ever been as lowly priced as this since its IPO 30 years ago.
I said make your blood boil not make my blood boil
The value trap was real here and continues to be .
Not sure why people keep mentioning the dividend yield when it’s going to be heavily cut at the next trading update.
Its typical for an exec to take a private equity role after being sacked. Huge monies want the submarine assets and use for leverage in their own groups and ex VOD CEO keeps the wealth management BoD happy they are in the right place. While Google and the internet economy is building out its own submarine capacity, in the end, its the telcos who facilitate the global submarine cable utility operation. Now interest rates are high(er), VOD sunk costs in submarine will come to the fore. We could see some large 'one off' type sales peppering the performance from a huge bank of capacity. That assumes businesses are going to take advantage of the next cycle and not capitulate
Its depressing seeing these people being paid huge sums for failure. Not exactly entrepreneurial or exhibiting the traits of a 'competitive' market. But then, running a complex federation of companies is no easy job. So the system regulates it, owns it and therefore its going last longer than any manager.
Interesting 'Mr Read was this week named chairman of Exa Infrastructure, a London-based company that owns fibre networks and subsea cables connecting Europe with North America@
Now who know anything about VODs undersea and terrestrial cable business? Nowt published in any reporting that I see but its growing massively. Circles the continent of Africa for starters (E&?)

Simones, I'm not sure there are any derampers here and it wouldn't make any difference to the share price anyway
But there are plenty of investors who wish they never invested in this share, and the longer they've been invested the more money they have lost
for anyone investing here at these very low prices, there's a good chance they will make a profit here eventually and good luck to you all, but it's a long journey back up from here for any of the longer term investors, who are basically caught in a trap here, as it would not be wise to sell at these prices, unless of course they are convinced it's going to continue dropping down and no hope of return
I for one will be one one of the top rampers here if i can see this making it's way back up to a £1 and beyond, but right now this is a pretty disappointing share
just expect some mixed feelings here that's all I'm saying
Fleeces - You is very aggressive towards me for some reason, although I is not that bovvered obviously.
Probably you is angry because your shares has gone down 😁
Been here before. Do you sell and buy lower or do just ride it out. VOD likely to be around for another 5 years. The macro is hitting most stocks. MDV is on a personal credibility mission. Just maybe she gets Spain over the line next.. Hope shes making money from hedging turkey currency too ..
^-^
Gutter5hite, did I remotely suggest he couldn't say what he wants? I asked him why it makes his blood boil.
