Now would be the perfect time for Margherita to buy more stock. If she did, it would propel the shareprice northwards coming on the back of the market's now more positive take on Vodafone, post today's results.
Mon
you appear to be someone with no involvement who has randomly come to the board to spout complete nonsense - and the purpose is?.
'' despite all the major asset disposals''
'' fewer cash generating assets now ''
Vodafone have disposed of non performing assets, and will be investing a good chunk of the proceeds purchasing shares in the remaining performing assets of the business at very attractive starting levels.
Now, run along.
Still paying € 9 euro cents a share dividend whilst sitting on €33 billion of debt, despite all the major asset disposals and share buy backs...unsustainable business model imo, far fewer cash generating assets now servicing a debt pile that isn't going down it seems. JMO Adyor.
Longtime - ok I can see why
Hope it goes higher!
Hello rob.. I think we will get back to 80p soon. Looking good today.
Just need the buyback programmes now to purchase at very cheap levels.
4 Billion Euro at the current market cap, sure would make a big dent in the number of shares on the market. Time will tell at how low a price holders of shares are willing to give them up at.

''over £7 is very toppy for a bank like HSBC ''
NO, it is still undervalued - it is my largest holding
Lti
''Hopefully buybacks will commence shortly''
only just seen the RNS after getting back home ,that others must have already seen -
''Vodafone now intends to commence an initial €500 million share buyback programme on 15 May 2024, as part of our plans to return €2.0 billion over 12 months''.
good to see it get underway.
HSBC was under £3 2021
So I wouldn't exactly buy that at the top....over £7 is very toppy for a bank like HSBC with huge liabilities, losses could overwhelm it quickly if the war escalates....
A very pleasant surprise seeing this go up today, hopefully 80p will be not too far away

Here is my Cash Flow chart updated with the most recent figure. FY23 is represented and I notice a reduction in the spectrum and licences fees for FY23 has increased the Cash Flow for those results. If anyone notices any mistakes, let me know and I'll correct them.

The Merger of Vodafone UK and Three UK to create one of Europe’s leading 5G networks will change your figures Drastically!
Great Investment Opportunity Here …….
Hi Drifty
Missed the boat 😂
My jaw dropped when I read numbers.
Market cap £19bn and net debt if €33.2bn.
Verizon is a in a similar peril looking at their net debt v SP.
Glad I moved and bought CROWDSTRIKE instead. Up 32% since January.
Dividends aren’t everything. That’s what investors don’t realise. Me too.
My broker dud warn me once before buying a stock at 7% that it was a risky idea, as most divi’s over 6% are cut going forward. Happened here many times sbd this is what VODAFONE need to do cut dividend to 3-4%
Take a LONG LOOK at T-Mobile, another stock I bought nearly 10yrs ago. It’s one to own not VODAFONE.
They currently are run well and bolster a decent dividend of 1.8% before tax, but it’s the growth v debt, is negligible

Free cash flow fell from €2.6bn to €1.8bn. Net debt, excluding the sold segments of Spain and Italy, was broadly flat at €33.2bn.

Spain Sale Approved, EUR2bn Share Buyback To Begin
Vodafone Group Plc ("Vodafone") announces today that the sale of Vodafone Spain to Zegona Communications plc ("Zegona")1 has received final approval from the Spanish authorities. The sale is expected to complete at the end of May 2024, at which point Vodafone will receive €4.1 billion in cash (subject to customary closing adjustments) and €0.9 billion in the form of Redeemable Preference Shares.
As a result, Vodafone now intends to commence an initial €500 million share buyback programme on 15 May 2024, as part of our plans to return €2.0 billion over 12 months
Mikey. Because you think we are all bully's?! Were you bully'd at school, but never got over it? Get a life. I have tried to be freindly with you, but you have a serios bully problem. We are possitive vod share holders. No bully, just like possitive comments.
He did not say it is not going back to £2. Just listen please?
Why exactly would
“Mole and mikey will rock in the corner and cry!”
I would be pleased for all the longterm investors who have stuck it out .
Now then now then!. If vod hits £2 soon, I will buy you a massive drink. Check Mate.
How about thanks!
I missed that 2nd RNS was playing chess and losing badly!
Never mind - £2 is coming soon with the non-stop buybacks.
Mole and mikey will rock in the corner and cry!
It is great the great CWW has such a good crystal ball that he ALREADY knows it's not going to £2.
I wish I had that crystal ball.
Selling any?
