https://www.mastercard.com/global/issuers.html The link explains more about the payment systems and MasterCard Partners. Its good to see Vipera second on the list. There is a service level above Platinum which no partner has yet reached, so there is a challenge to Vip... What the list also shows is how many competitors/potential competitors are out there.
Totally agree davwal. The one criticism i would make of the company is its lack of appreciation of how shareholders need a steady flow of information. Operationally they are very good, so at least its the right way round out of the two.
The SP is slipping back again, which seems the routine with VIP. With more irons in the fire for this apparently upwardly mobile and expanding company you'd think that there would be more to say, more often. Come on guys, give the market another nudge...
Nice to see us holding around range whilst we wait for the next contract news. I thought it would be here by now but happy to wait. We know we have a very robust sales pipeline so just a case of a stress free wait. Not so common on aim!
No mention of a year end profit. Progress is progress but to make these commitments and then fail to deliver doesn't look good. Not a bad report but still lacking THE spark.
Nice to see a 15% increase in revenue year on year for the first half. Very pleased to see the contract wins through the Mastercard partnership. This partnership has the potential to be a big driver through tthe second half of the year. Good solid progress being made. No thrills or spills, just company building progress that will reward us without the pain of the roller coaster that is usually aim! Just wish they would not be so pragmatic about it sometimes and really shout it out loud. Hopefully there will be some good media coming along from this.
Nice to stay in the sixes at the end. As we know, it takes very little buying to move this. Hopefully good results next week and a raft of analysts notes will get us more widely known. The statement from Martin in one of the last rns regarding a strong pipeline bodes well for next weeks figures. Deserves to be much higher than this, but the market very often overlooks companies for a period until all of a sudden they fly to where they should be. Hopefully our turn shortly!
As usual my buy showing as sell. Typical AIM. Hope we have a good upward rise.
Looking good so far!
Figures shortly. I will be happy with anything over 10 million turnover and confirmation that we will be profitable this year. We should also more contract news now and would be interested if the proximity side is gaining traction.
Quell surprise! Up the little ladder only to slide down the very next snake. Oh well, at least it moved...
It's certainly a small following, with one or two others adding on occasions. Exclusive, you might say. As to Vip, the sudden activity could equally mean there's good news in the offing. I shall be looking keenly for the early morning email notification of an RNS.
Hi Stubert and davwal, really pleasing to see the volumes involved over the last few days. Even nicer to see it coupled with the sp increase. My genuine opinion (we all have differing ones), is that this is currently worth between 15 - 20 pence per share on a conservative 6 x revenue basis. From the last few rns i believe that the company are aware of the need to publicise the news properly as we get it so i am very hopeful that our next contract announcement and the upcoming results will have a significant impact.
Some of those exchanges have been huge. Like you say there's always someone in know, shame it's not me! If we get some good announcements on the 5th Sept others might sit up and take notice. There's only 3 of us on the board it seems, your good self and myguess post more than I do but I look most days. We are the VIP pioneers I hope it turns out well for us all. I'll be super smugly if it does!
Excellent stuff if it holds. There have been some big numbers seemingly changing hands in the last few days, which could bode well for the six-month report. There are always those who get the heads up before the rabble...
Looking good again and testing 6p.
Were those actual buys at 5 x 200k lots yesterday pm? Only one shows as a buy, the others are unspecified.
I fully expect the figures to be on target and the company to be very positive. I went to the last presentation and it was good to meet Martin and some of the other Vip board members there. It was very noticeable that everything was underplayed and not hyped up. Sometimes it feels we need a bit more of it but on the whoe i like the steady positive progress that will be rewarded.
A very important six-month report coming up. It really needs a solid and demonstrable shift towards making a profit for the full year. That was their target and it would be a big setback if they are not on track.
Well, I suppose I'd accept 50p, if they must...
Davwal, like you, this isnt my sector of experience, but if you look at the managements experience and cvs within the sector, and the quality of the largest shareholder then i am very confident. The uptake by the large middle eastern banks, the uptake by the new challenger banks, and the upcoming legislation changes all lead me to have great faith in the motif platform and the services that can be added on. A great advantage is that third party services can be used with the platform, allowing more flexibility for the customer who may have a particular need or liking of a certain srvice provided by someone else. We still get part of the pie and keep/win the contract. Very well positioned at the moment and i see a buyout of the company a very real possibility. At market realistic valuations it should be between 30 - 50p a share.
Myguess, I think the payments sector will undergo quite rapid rationalisation and consolidation due to the number of players (although l don't profess to be fully conversant with the layering of services offered by all the different providers). Logically, Vipera could be at risk of being squeezed out by the big guys unless they have particularly desirable and unique processes. If they do have something desirable then they obviously become a potential buyout target. To avoid either scenario, I suspect VIP has to grow pretty fast. So both exciting and scary prospects to me.
It certainly is!! There is a definite shortage of stock around and as long as there is a steady consistent buy pressure they wont be able to go looking lower for shares. Not that there are any down there any more. They have exhausted that area so the only way is up. Coming together very nicely.
8% up in two days is good to see on a Friday evening....
